It's quitet as previous reviews have allready stated, it is very easy to use, as really i am a novice and said to the wife let me have a go first and if i can figure it out anyone can, within the first wash i ... ...water inlet to save on the economy plus youre wallet . I thought that if you put cold water in and have to heat it up it would cost more, but as somebody explained to me, if you put cold water in and heat it to 60 degrees its better than putting water from youre tank ( which could be 80 - 90 degrees) , then have to put cold water in to get it down to temp, I m just hoping people that are satisfide with the washing machine do not write reviews and ... more

It's quitet as previous reviews have allready stated, it is very easy to use, as really i am a novice and said to the wife let me have a go first and if i can figure it out anyone can, within the first wash i could tell it was easy. It is also only cold water inlet to save on the economy plus youre wallet . Now the proof of the pudding is in the eating and will update if any problems occur. UPDATE: Got home today (23/02/09 evening), put the washing machine on, as wife still at work, it run through cycle all ok, until it came to the spin and seemed to finish abruptly then the door seemed to click over and over, then lcd display kept flashing door, so turned off at the mains. Then opened the door and the clothes were still soaked . So put it on the spin cycle again to drain the water from the clothes, done this twice no joy, then realised that the water was still pouring into the dispencery at the same time as it was emptying and of course the clothes never would have dryed. Only way out of it was to turn of the water, but then the washing machine would not turn itself off. Turned it off by the mains.THIS WAS ONLY MY THIRD WASH. Will now get in touch with the highstreet shop that sold me it in the first place. WHY DO I FEEL I HAVE BEEN CHEATED. UPDATE: Have got an engineer coming out on the 03/03/09 so will see what happens. UPDATE: It is now the 03/03/09 after having a day of work, the engineer came and changed a main board in the washing machine and had no answer for the fact he had to do this after 3 washes, (here 23 minuets) but for the moment (1st wash) everything is going to plan. Lets hope it's the last of it for a few years.

Quick review of Hotpoint WMF760G
I've had a bad experience with this machine. After about 14 months it doesn't dry and doesn't drain water. I have had so much trouble with the company- though the machine is under warranty (full replacement) they refuse to replace it. Over a period of 5 months I have had 5 engineers come to look at it. Each of them said something different, and the last one said there was no problem at all. The engineers don't stay to watch and entire wash and dry cycle, so they never see the issues happening. I would advise anyone to buy a different make- it's not worth the trouble, though this machine is cheaper than some others. Do not buy a Hotpoint! ...

Advantages: Very quite in operation, even at high spin speeds. Disadvantages: Broke down after 2 weeks.
I have had a Hotpoint WMF760 washing machine for just two weeks and it has broken down. The display indicates a door fault so the machine can not operate for safety reasons.
During my two weeks experience of using it, it performed well and was very quiet in operation even at 1600 rpm.spin speed.
You will need to offset this against the fact that I now have to take time off work to have a service engineer look at the washer.
