    Advantages Advantages Very quiet, large load big enough for duvets, fast spin, easy to use, all electronic controls and display, time remaining display

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Door lock delay is annoying, some wash options can't be used simultaneously, can't change programme type during wash, cheap photocopied manual

    Had one of these for 10 months now, after previously owning another Hotpoint that lasted for 7 years; to be honest it could have been fixed but I fancied a new, quieter machine. The WT965A is great. The first thing to get to grips with when buying a new Hotpoint is the model numbering, which is most odd. Why they changed from WM to WT I still don't know, but the higher the number the higher up the range the machine is. The letter at the end is for colour - A stands for aluminium, whereas a P at the end would mean Polar White (of course!) and G means graphite (a 2 tone silver/grey combo). Oddly ... more

    I had my new washing machine delivered during the week, it was protected by polystyrene and wrapped in a plastic sheeting so that it would not be damaged during delivery. It also came with an instruction book which was clear and easy to follow. I found the washing maching very easy to install and to get started. The size of the drum is 7kg suitable for a family and a lot bigger than the drum on my last washing machine. The washing machine is easy to operate and super silent.     I was very pleasantly surprised when I first used my machine. To start with, it was a good price compared to other machines of similar spec, it looks so smart. Then the installation was really simple. I first used it without looking at the instruction manual (a basic wash is simple and obvious to do). The 'time to end' display is really useful. But by far the best thing about this machine (apart from the fact that it gets the clothes so clean) is the fact that you can hardly tell it's on. Even when it spins (1600 rpm) it's really very quiet - you can stand next to it having a conversation ... more

    Advantages Advantages I love the way you can individualise your washing needs, the how dirty setting is good and also the hand wash option as i hate washing by hand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the controls can be sensitive, if you lean on them by accident you can turn machine on or off or pause the wash without knowing

    I have never had a problem with my machine, i've had it nearly a year now and time after time it always performs. I use it 3 times a day plus with my family of 2 adults and 3 children, two of which are 1 and have been in washable nappies since they were born. The nappies always come out clean and sometimes they are really unpleasant before hand. Its very Quiet too, i have it set to come on in the early hours so ready to hang out when i get up and its never woken me up. The hand wash programme is handy especially as some baby items can be hand wash only like the cosy toes from the pushchair ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages stopped working after 4 weeks

    Bought one of these machines new in August, it broke after 4 weeks and we've now been without a washing machine for the last 4 weeks. Hotpoint/Indesit sent out an engineer to fix it (their call out period is 10 days), but he couldn't, so he ordered a part. The part took 9 days to arrive so he came out again, only to discover it needed a different part! That was 10 days ago and the machine is still broken. Hotpoint/Indesit's customer service has been appalling throughout this episode - with a "couldn't care less" attitude from those on the phones and a "computer says no" approach to any request ... more
