Disadvantages: No screening of tradespeople.

I used this site to find a local tradesman to lay some laminate flooring in my hallway. The work was substandard and I will have to fix the mistakes that the fitter made. The fitter clearly did not know how to fit laminate flooring properly or even how to cut in a straight line. The worst part was that I had paid the fitter to take up and dispose of the old carpet in the hallway. I had even put down a plastic sheet to capture the dust so that other ...
...by the work. However, I later discovered that rather than disposing of the carpet and other rubbish the fitter had merely dumped it under the stairs in the communal area which was a fire hazard. I had to take the old carpet and the rubbish to the local tip myself. I personally would not use this site again as they seem to perform no checks on the tradespeople who use their site. ...
