I thought when i purchased this that i would get bored of the same 2 games but the truth is it just gets better. There are two whole games HOTD2 & HOTD3. They replicate the arcade game perfectly and you can really get into these. It's an on rail shoot em up so you can't get lost for hours of agonising searching. Just point and shoot, you can't go wrong!
Now, the graphincs. Regards HOTD2, the graphics are old. They are really corny and too basic. However, this doesn't stop this game being any less fun. Many of us like that it has replicated the old graphics since we are reliving the good ole days! HOTD3 is a different story. The graphics are amazing to say its on the Wii. They have really captured the shoot em up spirit with this one. Each zombie is detailed and complex in design. As well as the scenery, there are many items that you can interact with like barrells with hidden items that really define this game.
...Sound. In HOTD2, the effects and acting are poor. They are really corny and show this game up im afraid. However HOTD3 really mops up its mess. The effects put you in the game and you could play for hours and not get sick of the sound of blood thirsty zombies!
All round this is great value for money since it is selling new for around £15. Don't miss out its fun, original and simply Epic.

Basically in House of the Dead 2 is set two years after the first game, where an army of the undead was released. Your role is that of an agent of the AMS, you must shoot your way through waves of zombies and the occasional boss to save the city, all while trying ... ...everything. House of the Dead 3 is a full 19 years later, in a postapocalyptic world infested with undead. You'll play as G and Lisa Rogan as they battle through the research facility that served as ground zero for the outbreak which overwhelmed the planet. Main difference is that you're armed a little more heavily (eg.combat shotguns), and there's no civilians to rescue. Unfortunately, Sega decided to limit your number of credits, which can be frustrating ...

...this for my son from the bargain bin section of Zavvi before Christmas last year. Having very much enjoyed the arcade versions of the House of the Dead, I was looking forward to a good old zombie fest at the first available opportunity. You can probably see from the image, it is two games on the one disk: House of the Dead 2 and its successor 3. There have been others in the arcade series. The interface to select between the two games is a bit clunky, ... ...no biggie, then it's onto the main event. The games are faithful ports of the arcade games, the benefit being that you are not feeding a slot with pound coins! You set up your credits and play, so I got much further through the game then I ever got when playing. If you're not familiar with the genre or game, it's a zombie-based shoot-em-up. It's a bit gory, so if you're squeamish or have young kids, maybe this is one to steer clear of. You really ...
