Finish powerball is the best.

Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: None

I use Finish powerball regularly, and I have no cause to complain. Every wash is guaranteed to be up to excellent quality. No matter what I put in the dishwasher be it cups and plates, or saucepans and pyrex dishes which have been left standing overnight, they all come out sparkling clean. I did try to use shop own dishwasher tablets but they were never up to standard of Finish. The amount of extra cheap tablets I had to use far out weighed the ...

No more Powerballs in our Hotpoint

Advantages: Convenience (if they worked!)
Disadvantages: Cost, over-dosing, foaming, caused leaks!

During the second wash we found the dishwasher leaking hot foamy water all over the floor. Luckily our machine is still under warranty and the three day wait for the engineer was not too difficult. Keep taking the tablets

Advantages: Starts working immediately, fresh lemon smell, you can vary the amount used
Disadvantages: Bleaches clothes

...I then decided to try Finish Liquid Gel. This liquid gel is excellent! As it is liquid it is ready to start work immediately and I am very impressed with the results. I can't say that it is perfect every time, but a lot of that has to do with my stacking and how dried on the food is. The dishwasher smells quite good too after each wash (lemony), but you can certainly smell the bleach in the liquid. A word of warning, be careful not to spill it on ...
