Clean and smelling good! (Fairy Liquid)
Advantages: A little goes a long way so it lasts for a long time. Disadvantages: Tempting to use too much which results in huge volumes of bubbles, everywhere!
Fairy Original washing up liquid, although used less in our house now due to the use of a dishwasher, it still takes pride of place next to the kitchen sink. The bottle I have is 450ml and made of clear flexible plastic allowing for the liquid to be squeezed out with easy. The top is a red flip top and made of plastic. The bottle I have cost 98p and boasts it contains 50% extra too, so looking good on the value side of things. The label contains ... ...water. The fragrance of the Fairy Original is fresh and not too over powering. The finish when the items you have cleaned are dry is excellent, there is a gleaming shine left which lasts so you really feel the dishes are completely clean. I haven't tried a supermarket own brand of washing up liquid as I feel, as it states on the bottle, "Fairy is the original and the best". I'm not sure how popular washing up liquid will remain in the future as more ...

The next best washing-up liquid after Fairy
Advantages: Works well, cheap as OWN BRAND stuff, smells nice Disadvantages: none so far
Living above the family's grocery store, I don't normally need to nip out to buy things like this, but one week a few years ago while my Dad was having to keep spending on stock to a minimum, I ended up having to do so. Past choiches having been restrict to Fairy liquid, HAPPY SHOPPER own brand + "Squezy", and the Ecover stuff i covered in a previous review. I'd plonk this one as the 2nd best of these after Fairy.... Happy shopper 3rd, Squezy 4th ... ...people who make imperial leather soap + carex handwash, etc. The colour is the pretty much bog-standard green colour, though a slightly brighter shade than the others..... there's also an anti-bacterial version in blue. The standard green one also has a sort of lemon / lime zesty smell to it, unlike other green washing-up liquids. The Blue Anti-bacterial one (been a few weeks since i used it) from what i recall smelled pretty much the same as CAREX ...

Try it you might just like it
Advantages: Great cleaning power, glassware really sparkles Disadvantages: It can struggle with very greasy plates
...out from the crowd. Ecover Washing Up Liquid does just that in my view so I thought I would put 'fingers to the keyboard' to tell everyone what makes this washing up liquid different from the rest.
Why try the product?
To be honest I can't really remember what it was that prompted me to buy my first ever bottle of this washing up liquid. I had been a Fairy user for years and was quite happy with it, my mother always used it and what was good ... ...to the light and fresh Ecover product. The Ecover washing up liquids are lightly fragranced with things like Camomile and Marigold, and Lemon and Aloe Vera and they tend to make other products smell artificial. I was hooked, from that day on I have stuck with Ecover. I absolutely love it. The cleaning power on glassware is amazing, time after time it comes up sparkling, I can't imagine going back to any other washing up liquid.

Cleaner dishes
Advantages: cleans dishes, lathers well Disadvantages: none
I bought Persil washing up liquid as it was on offer at my local supermarket – two 500ml bottles for £1.50 and thought I would give it a try. It is normally on sale for 80p
The washing up liquid is light green in colour and opaque and comes in a clear bottle with the well known Persil logo on the front. I don’t find the smell too overpowering but not sure it Aloe Vera would have been my first choice had I not been limited to what I could choose. ... ...hands. As it was Persil I was expecting good things in particular, hoping it would do a better job than the supermarket own brand I had been using. I noticed first that the liquid was thinner than the supermarket own brand and it lathered up quite easily. I wash up by filling up a bowl with water and squirting in some liquid. I also discovered that a small amount was needed as the soap suds formed quickly. I found it cleaned glasses, cups and cutlery ...

tough on grease not on your pocket
Advantages: a little goes along way Disadvantages: none
...paid 70p at my local Tesco superstore in Exeter. This product or its ingredients are not tested on animals which we all like to hear. Can be used in 2 ways diluted in warm water, or neat on a damp cloth or sponge 9/10 Summary: Another great product by Tesco
