Having had the taster menu at the Savoy Grill last year I was very impressed with the quality of the food and started looking for a Wareing book. Now I can look up and make most of the same recipes! This is a very useful cook book with plenty of range in the food it covers, from easy Sunday morning brunch to dinner party specials. The lay out is clear, and thank goodness for me, easy to follow. There are even various tips to use when all goes horribly wrong so you can save your time and effort. You don't get that with Delia. The down side is that you see just how simple great food can be and it makes you wince when you pay the huge prices at various restaurants (see the pan fried Tuna, a great, straight forward, but impressive way to cook it!).
