When you buy the auto reel you also receive 20m of top quality hose and all fittings, including wall-mounting bracket and fixings. It is very reliable and I have not encountered any problems with this although you might want to use better fixings than what it is supplied with as they are not very strong. Don't get me wrong it is good that you also receive the fixings it is just that there are much better ones on the market. A trip to somewhere like B&Q will give you the fixings that you need.

Ok, so the end of November might seem a strange time to buy a garden hosereel set, but mine tends to get more use washing a muddy dog & dirty cars, especially at this time of year.
The previous hosereel I had, has recently given up after a number of years of sterling service. The handle had fallen off the winder, and there were a number of punctures in the hose pipe, so it was time to find a replacement, I cannot remember what make this one was, but it was cheap, and must have lasted at least 6 years, so I cannot complain.
I found the Hozelock 25mCompactHoseReel at Focus DIY for a very competitive £25.
As well as a pretty sturdy, plastic, floor standing reel, you also get 25 meters of yellow hose pipe, and all the connectors you need to get the thing plumbed in, plus, an adjustable spray nozzle.

The instructions are very basic with diagrams and a brief how to.
The knobs are pressed into a hole on each side of the hosereel. These are used to wind in the hose.The washer is placed inside the hoseconnector that attaches to the tap to create a water tight seal. The connecter will only fasten onto a tap with a screw end. If you dont have one like this you can buy a connector to convert your tap to accommadate this for about a couple of pounds.
The six pattern nozzle is easy to use, you hold it like a gun squeeze the lever and water is released from the nozzle. There is an arrow on the nozzle and the six spray settings are wrote on the nozzle head, rotate until desired ...
