Its main function is to transmit and process the synchronous/asynchronous serial data flow, supporting synchronous and asynchronous working modes. ...If your looking to upgrade then this is it for you although it may look terrifying it isn't and in fact it great value for money in my opinion you should definaltley by this card because of the impact is has. Although there is one major draw back which is setting it up inwhich if your looking to set it up your self like i did then your in for a struggle because the instructions for it only go so far so and so when i tryed contacting the manufacteur for help all they did was pass me around from call centre to call centre inwhich this really racked up my phone bill and overall i ended up going to a technology shop and getting them to give me some help on installing it. Overall it is a good product the only problem is installing it but most people tend to go to a computer shop. I m just awkward and try doing it myself.... Read review

Review of PowerColor X1650 PRO - Graphics adapter - Radeon X1650 Pro - AGP 8x - 512 MB GDDR2 - Digital Visual Interface (DVI) - HDTV out by  woyaonb

Advantages: Installed easily enough,work great

...A great price for a 512MB DDR2 Graphics Card. Just followed the installation directions exactly and had no problems. Also surprisingly quiet for a highend graphics card. ATI never disappoints me and Powercolor has delivered a decent product at a low cost. I'm holding off on the rebate due to the bad reviews I've read. If the card does end up failing for one reason or another I can still return it as long as I don't apply for the rebate. I've read some failures occured 2 and 1/2 months after installation. I will keep my fingers crossed. Some reviewers of Powercolor Products have reported problems. With the X1650 Pro 512MB, I had no trouble until updating to Catalyst 8.6 . After moving up to Catalyst 8.6 VPU Recover kept kicking in. My games would not finish loading. Fortunately, with the re-installation of Catalyst 8.5 my problem was... Read review
