An Organic Farmer and His Huawei E220 Modem

I am an organic farmer from Indonesia. Since I live in my farm, located on an inland, in Southern Sukabumi, West Java, i need a tools that will helping me to get internet connection. There are a low signal for cellular phone in my farm area! Yup, it?s a big problem to internet connection. One day, my brother send me a gift. A modem: Huawei E220. I like this modem shape. simple and funny. Elegant with white color. So, can i connected? Oh, no! Not yet! For the first time, the modem can?t reach the cellular signal. But, I think? the problem is not caused by the modem. The problem is caused by cellular signal. I've tried a simple technique, as a solution for solving this problem! I made an amplifier antenna. I wrap the copper wire to a modem, and hung the end of the wire to the roof of my house. And then, this Huawei E220 modem working ...

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Slow, Harms USB Port, Cheaply Made.

I used this USB modem for about 2 years. I was really upset to find out it never preformed as it said. It's very slow, no matter where you are. The USB connector is made very cheaply and does harm to your USB port. I am lucky i have 4 USB ports on my laptop or i would have had a high repair bill. From my point of view it's a total waist of time to purchase this product. The modem will disconnect you from the internet if move the laptop around because of the USB. If you are trying to invest in a USB modem, try and do the homework and look around, remember the cheaper the price you pay on the them the cheaper the quality, I suggest to let your network provider know before hand about these reviews, in that way if something had to go wrong, you have a finger to point. Good camera+phone but user interface needs improvements.

Advantages: above average picture quality; smaller enough phone+ok cam; sleek look& feel
Disadvantages: phone user interface

Look and Feel: It looks sleek - the Black version is very similar to the 1st generation Prada Phone which was also provided by LG. From outside, the only different is the Prada logo and the color of the two buttons in front (Silver vs. Black) Camera: Comparing to my other camera phones, this phone definitely produces a better than average picture quality, especailly when you play with its different settings. It is a good choice if you want to take casual pictures regularly or only want to take something small when you go out. Phone: First of all, the talk quality is good. Nevertheless, as a cell phone, its user interface is not that friendly. The touch-screen keyboard makes message typing slow. After a while, I got used to it though.
