Visiting the aftershave section seems to be something of a tradition for my girlfriend and I when Christmas or a Birthday is approaching, as she likes to pick up a nice smelly for me and no doubt a healthy chunk of Boots points for herself.

The first thing that I noticed ... ...It's made from oddly curved glass that darkens from an almost colourless base up to a smoky purple-grey, with a similarly designed lid that looks something like an optical illusion depending on which side you view it from. It's very much a 'guy' design and looks just as attractive sitting on a shelf in the bathroom as beside a sink in a fancy hotel suite (on the rare occasion that we can afford to visit one!)

*Pricing and availability*
While my bottle came from Boots, their pricing was a lot more competitive earlier on in the year and I wouldn't recommend using them for this item at the moment. Some internet prices for the 90 ml bottle:
While I haven't used these websites personally, they're quite well known for the most part and have probably been reviewed somewhere on Dooyoo. It's also worth shopping around on the high street and duty free stores can be a great source of reasonably priced fragrances (or larger bottles for the same price).
*Good longevity from a smallish bottle*
I'm not a big user of fragrances, but probably use a couple of sprays once a day (more on holidays etc.) The bottle has lasted me for three months so far and I'm roughly half way through, so very good value for money. It would last even longer if I rotated it, but I tend to stick with one bottle until I've finished it.
*Wonderful, warm fragrance - perfect for those summer evenings*
The smell is great - intense, aromatic and also quite homely (if that makes any sense). To me, it sums up images of dusky walks in warm climes - trips to the local village in Zakynthos on a warm summer evening, or a walk through one of London's beautiful royal parks as the sun sets. It also has a distinctly 'woody' character (akin to the wonderful, resinous scents that come from aromatic woods such as sandlewood and cedar) and this is probably what makes me think of home and various other comforting associations. It's a relatively complex and rich smell and perhaps more one for the 'grown ups' than the teens.
My nose isn't sensitive enough to be a perfumer, but star anise, bergamot and the occasional burst of cinnamon are very noticeable when spraying this on. The scent lingers for quite a while and the character seems to change quite a bit as time goes on.

Hugo Boss Soul, I got this last christmas and I have to say I'm glad I did! The smell is quite unique from anything else I have got and I find that a good thing. Its quite difficult to explain the scent but if I had too I'd say slightly musky and maybe slightly spicy or sweet. Either way its a nice smell and you may find on occasions you'll be recieving compliments on smelling nice.
The packaging is silver and black and the two colours fade into ... ...but easy to see and read. The bottle looks as if it has been curved or twisted and looks pretty cool but I have found that its almost fallen over when I've put in on the shelf because of a slight imbalance but thats really nothing to worry about as it has never fallen over when its been placed carefully and is in a tough glass bottle anyway, which has survived a couple of the times I've accidently dropped it.
Price wise I'm not too sure how much ...

The first time I smelt this aftershave was at work and thought how nice it was... the guy who was wearing it always had the latest smells that were in, and this one just stood above all the rest.
The nice thing about Boss Soul is that it is made for men however the smell isn't as full on as normal aftershaves and ideally i would have made this eau de toillette unisex.
As you are aware i am female and would recommend this to any female that is looking ... ...girl perfumes that are currently on the market.
The guy who wore this at work bought me a bottle back from MArbella and I have got to admit i wear this more than any other perfume that i own and the good thing is .. on a night in my local.. i actually got a female come up to me and say do you mind me asking what you are wearing because it smells so nice... i wasn't sure i should say it was for me.. but each to their own i suppose.

Advantages: Great Smell!! Disadvantages: Expensive in certain places
I bought this Hugo Boss - Soul spray while on a ferry, coming back from France before Christmas. I am not the sort of person who buys alot of these products, but I had heard that it is a great product. I had heard good things about it. I decided to give it a shot.
It was on a ferry duty-free, where I bought this fragrance, and it was £20. I thought that this was good value for money, as I had heard that the prices for this fragrance were much more ... ...off. The words BOSS - Hugo Boss is written on one side in black font, in readable font, with the branded logo. To the right, is the word soul written in white on the black background.
I bought this product before Christmas, and in April, is still giving off a great smell, and still got plenty of it left. 50ml is what you buy, but other sizes and quanities can be bought too. 50ml has lasted me a long time. I have recieved alot of compliments that ...

Good stuff, this. I've used this aroma for many years and love it as much now as I did when I was a lad. I ran out in November and dropped some strong hints to the little lady. Sure enough, I got it on xmas morning. Lovely smell, makes you smell al fresh (even if you're not!!). Good shaped bottle. The lady wife tries some every now and again and I know as I can smell it on her even though she denies it, well, they all do it, don' they?
It costs ... ...it cheaper online at perfumeshop.com but they run out pretty quick on that site. Good thing is that if you get it from Boots then you get your points too. I spray this stuff every morning before I go to work and you can see that it's enjoyed by the females. They always ask me what I'm wearing and seem a bit surprised when I tel lthem, so they must think it smells like something more expensive.
The bottle is quite big, about 50mls so you get a fair ...

...you walk past. But this Hugo Boss isn't like that, its subtle (when used sparingly!) and catches attention for a split second and creates interest! It works much like a brief second of eye contact, it breaks the ice and sparks off interest! So forget sloshing on gallons of cheap perfume - a mere spritz or two of this will work much better kid! It smells refreshing and "clean" its not overpowering or over scented with spices or flowery chemicals. ...
