Here nice kitty, kitty - NOT!
Review of Random Acts of Catness - Scott Adams by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Excellent gift idea
Disadvantages: Only if you're a Dilbert fan!
...this particular one is called Random Acts of Catness and of course features Catbert.
This book is only three and a quarter inches by three and three quarter inches in size and is about half an inch thick. It is hard backed with a protective dust cover.
The front of the book and the dust cover are the same and show Catbert mischievously snatching a set of papers from (presumably) Dilbert’s outstretched hand. The background is a pretty shade of orange ... ...start of the book there is a ‘To’ and ‘From’ page so this would make a great stocking filler for Christmas.
Anyway back to Catbert. He is the Human resources Director of Dilbert’s company, who enjoys taunting and tormenting the employees before downsizing them – remind you of anyone you work for?
This funny little book is a series of cartoons following Catbert’s antics within the workplace.
Here are a couple of examples to show the sort of humour.

Get your mind spinning, Read This!
Review of God's Debris: A Thought Experiment - Scott Adams by
j.sweetlanduk
Advantages: Very thought provoking
Disadvantages: Little short
Scott Adams most famous for his creation of the "Dilbert" comic strip, brings to us a fable that will make you think! According to Adams this book is for "people who like having their brains spun inside their skulls". Adams deliberately creates theories which are consistent with today's science and some false statements which are designed to sound true. He invites the reader to decipher these and make their own decisions about the theories contained ... ...you cant put down after the first few pages. It touches on some interesting theories on God, the universe, relationships, probability etc. After reading this book I was pondering over the ideas brought forward and creating my own from them. This book is nothing like Adams' Dilbert books it isn't meant to be humorous. However this book is very though provoking and well worth a read. This book is short and can be read in the space of a few hours (I ...

My Favourite Book Ever!
Review of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams by
azuvipsel
Advantages: Extremely Entertaining and Funny
Disadvantages: Get Repetitive when you get to the fifth book
...five parts, as its called-The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the end of the Universe, Life, the Universe and Everything, So Long and thanks for all the Fish and Mostly Harmless. They are quite expensive-about £5.00 each I think, though you can buy then in a single hardbook copy for only about £15.00 and if you buy them used, they are cheap. The Science Fiction Comedy genre of the book is hard to write-the balance between the two ... ...It is science fiction, but the science fiction is funny. I think that the whole universe in the guide is quite insane and weird, but extremely funny. The humour inside the book is very similar to that of the Monty Python Movies. Basically, the book is about a normal Earthman named Arthur Dent who is thirty year old. He finds himself lying in front of a bulldozer to prevent his house being demolished to make way for a new bypass. Though his friend, ...

The key to office survival
Review of The Dilbert Principle - Scott Adams by
atticusuk
Advantages: very funny
Disadvantages: some American jargon
...David Brent managed to show the cringe worthiness of office life Scott Adams through his cartoon character Dilbert manages to show the absurd and ridiculous action of companies, managers and employees.
Who is Dilbert?
Dilbert is the comic strip creation of Scott Adams. Dilbert is an engineer and spends his days working in his cubicle. Hardly a role model employee Dilbert is always drawn wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a tie that turns up at the ... ...the nine years that he worked for Pacific Bell and also from the huge number of real life experiences that people post to him.
The Content
Adams has put together a book that begins with the theory that we are all idiots. He includes himself in this category highlighting his inability to change the batteries in his pager. He also justifies it with the example o when Kodak bought out a camera called the Weekender. Customers then called the support ...
