The Hygena doors and drawer fronts are of a nice quality and that is where any niceness stops.
The base units and wall units were all incomplete, missing dowels, cams, screws, brackets and those white plasic screw and hole buttons.
The laminate on the cornice is falling off where it is not properly fixed to the wood by the manufacturer and we are waiting around 3 weeks for a replacement.
The Rangemaster cooker hood looks as if somone else once owned it installed and returned it, and it has been sold on again.
Out of 15 units NONE fitted together nicely with most holes being pre-drilled badly at manufacturing. This leaves un-flush corners, bottoms and tops with gaps around edges, the same on the insides, and an appearance more suited to low quality cheap nasty rubbish.

and would contact us within 3 days to arrange the repairs to be done at their expense to be done within 2 weeks. 7 weeks later after several ignored phone calls made by myself they still haven't done nothing. I am now taking them to court for damages and costs as I don't want thier incompetant fitters in my house anymore, I've sent letters to them stating that I am taking them to court but they havn't responded, their loss as I will win quite easily and it's just more bad publicity for them. I quote from the sales rep when he saw our kitchen '...it's only a kitchen don't get upset...' Well thanks if it was your kitchen you would soon be the first person to complain and moan! My advice is stay well clear of Hygena at Currys in Watford. ...

To whom it may concern,
Advertised outside your Hygena at Curry?s Dundee branch ?your dream kitchen designed and installed by us ? with no fuss?. Also on your website a promise of kitchen fitting and delivery promptly and with no fuss.
I would like to bring to your attention the catalogue of disasters which befell my partner and me when we dared to believe your promises.
After paying a deposit of £200 in April 2004 and being advised by your salesman (Adam) that as long as we contacted the store approximately 3 weeks before we intended to commence work on the kitchen everything would go like clockwork. This we did and also handed over a cheque for £4800. The kitchen was due to be delivered on the 16/07/04 and work was to commence on the 19/07/04. Unfortunately we were to be on a caravanning holiday ...
