The new Firestorm range of Hard Drives has been redesigned to offer you a more sophisticated and standardized range of external storage. Stylish brushed aluminum outers enclose high speeds and capacities suitable for almost any purpose. Use Firestorm hard drives to increase your file storage capacity; as a file transfer system; as a shared storage drive; or as a cache to store a specific set of data.
Advantages: Very fast, quiet and sleek design Disadvantages: Could have a bigger capacity
...This external hard drive is perfect for anyone that owns a laptop, although it can also be connected to a PC.
Looks
The looks of this hard drive is minimalistic yet looks modern and sleek with an orange light on the front that glows when in operation. The size of the hard drive is very small, hence being perfect for laptop users as it can easily fit into a laptop bag. The hard drive also makes no sound what-so-ever.
Using the Hard Drive
It is a very easy component to use. All that you need to do is plug it in to your laptop of PC through the USB connector. The USB connector has a data+power cable and a secondary power cable for USB ports that cant supply enough power through the single port. This hard drive only has 120gb worth of space but it is possible to get upto 160gb if 120gb is too small. Also...

Advantages: Lots of space for all your gaming needs. Disadvantages: Price, Dust, Missing GB
...My personal experience with the Xbox 360 hard drive has been fairly positive. The ability to store music, films, videos and of course games saves is one that no Xbox gamer should be without. 120GB of memory is more than enough for the average gamer. The hard drive is well designed to blend with the console perfectly. It is small and easy to store.
However the price is pretty heavy compared to the cheaper 20GB versions. A problem with the memory is the fact that the hard drive does not actually have 120GB, obviously it wouldn't be exactly due to the need for the running files but several GB are actually missing. Regular cleaning is advised as dust tends to collect on the hard drive but a sharp blow into the docking port is sufficient to clear this.
All in all this product is an incredibly useful addition to any Xbox 360 gamers...

Advantages: Great value for money Disadvantages: Only ATA100
...IBM/Hitachi are very well known for their quality hard drives, well at least up until their 120GXP range which had abnormally high returns rates within a few short months of purchase but thankfully the problems they had with the 120GXP have been ironed out in their 180GXP range.
I have had my 120Gb 180GXP for around 5 months now and the only problem I have had with it was last week when it suffered a bad sector that prevented me from booting but was sorted out no problems using Hitachi's Drive Fitness Test utility.
I have my hard drive split into 3x40Gb partitions (which I soon regretted due to the amount of data I have). With quick access rates it proves a great drive, especially with its 8Mb of cache and is also fairly quiet which is what most people need these days with them being left running for longer periods of time...
