I bought one of these just over six months ago. I went to a second had car store and did even have the thought of getting a Hyundai Coupe on my mind. However I was walking across the car park and this jumped out at me.
The first thing you realise is how sleek and sporty the car looks. It looks so much more expensive than you pay. Also, its kitted out with all of the mod cons including leather seats and air con etc...
Whilst driving I find the car is a little sluggish off the mark but when it gets to about 3 1/2 - 4 revs the thing absolutely flies.
The car is definitely a head turner and not even the Hyundai badge can stop that.
The only negatives i am experiencing is fuel consumption, not even getting anywhere near 30 mpg.
The other problem is that it has the turning circle of a double decker bus.
Due to visibility being quite poor i've fitted the car with number plate reversing sensors in order to give me a clue where the back end is.
The depreciation doesn't matter too much because you don't have to pay too much for it in the first place. The insurance group is also very reasonable too.
I've seen information on a snorkus modification that gives you a few extra brake horse power and a few extra miles per gallon.
All in all this is well worth the money and attention that you'll receive by driving it.
