This monitor has a 17" viewable screen (17" diagonally, this monitor is not widescreen it is square) at the resolution 1280x1024, with a response time of 8ms, and a contrast ratio of 700:1. This makes it more than adequate as a gaming monitor. When playing games with this monitor it is a much more immersive experience than most lower spec monitors, there is also no ghosting and is very fast, which means you dont get shot by the guy who hasnt appeared yet. The screen is surrounded by a 1.5cm border which makes the screen appear bigger also.
The contrast ratio of 700:1 makes this monitor also viable for office use, making black text on a white background very clear. The brilliant colours displayed with this monitor make it also great for any graphic artist or photographer.
Any 3D designer (3D Studio Max, Maya, Cinema4D etc) or 2D designer (Photoshop, Illustrator etc) would probably want two of these so as to manage viewable work space to create. However using just 1 is perfectly acceptable, as i use a few of the above pieces of software.
The design of this monitor is sleek and unclustered by buttons, which makes it very astetically pleasing. The black with silver highlights colour scheme goes well with most hardware (mice, keyboards, boxes etc) and looks modern and stylish.
The only thing i can comment on as a bad point with this monitor was the price, when i bought it, it was at £135, this is quite a high price for a 17" TFT but the quality of the product more than makes up for this price tag.
I bought this monitor after being impressed by my friends one, he is also very pleased with it and both of us would recommend to anyone that it is worth buying. Both of us have had the monitor for around a year and can report no problems, dead pixels etc

Viewable screen - 17" (17" diagonally) Screen Resolution - 1280x1024/75Hz Pixel Pitch - 0.264 Colours - 16.2 Million Response Time - 8ms Max viewing angle H - 150 (degrees) Max viewing angle V - 120 (degrees) Signal Input - VGA
Power Consumption - 40W
Using high school physics i calculated it to be around 40W. Values below are taken from the back of the monitor.
P = Voltage (potential difference) x I (current) P = 12 x 3.3 P = 39.6Watts
Dimensions - 40 x 37.4 x 20 (cm) (nice and compact) Weight - 3.2kg (very light and easy to move)
