Hyundai ImageQuest L90D+ Reclaim your desk now!

Advantages: Doesn't take up much room and looks nice
Disadvantages: None

. What you need is a fast refresh rate. So my friend bought a Hyundai monitor advertised at Overclockers.co.uk as being capable of blur free gaming with a 12ms refresh rate. Only when he went on Quake 3 there was blur aplenty and he was very disappointed. A lot of more modern games, perhaps tweaked to work well with LCDs, were much better, but Quake 3 - a favourite for many of us gamers - was blurred. Overclockers were unhelpful as was the customer support for Hyundai in the UK. However, after some stiff letters to the German distributors, my friend was sent an apology and a nice new Hyundai Imagequest L90D+. Now - this is important, because whereas his original model which was incorrectly advertised as being 'blur free' when it evidently wasn't, was a 12ms refresh rate model, the L90D+ was an 8ms model. Faster is better with refresh ...

Hyundai ImageQuest B71A, Ideal 17" TFT monitor.

Advantages: Superb picture quality, stylish, compact
Disadvantages: Slightly high price, availability (i wanted another one but can only find second hand ones)

-----| My experience - (if you want my opinion and how ive got on) |----- This monitor has a 17" viewable screen (17" diagonally, this monitor is not widescreen it is square) at the resolution 1280x1024, with a response time of 8ms, and a contrast ratio of 700:1. This makes it more than adequate as a gaming monitor. When playing games with this monitor it is a much more immersive experience than most lower spec monitors, there is also no ghosting and is very fast, which means you dont get shot by the guy who hasnt appeared yet. The screen is surrounded by a 1.5cm border which makes the screen appear bigger also. The contrast ratio of 700:1 makes this monitor also viable for office use, making black text on a white background very clear. The brilliant colours displayed with this monitor make it also great for any graphic artist ...

Review of Hyundai ImageQuest B71A

Hyundai L72D

Advantages: Clear bright screen, intergrated speakers,
Disadvantages: speakers are not perfect,

My family bought this monitor last year, and it is the first Hyundai product we have ever bought. Well, I am glad to say that the verdict is so far so good. Our old monitor was out of focus and large so we decided to get a flat screen monitor. I installed the monitor in about 5 mins, and from then on, we have never looked back. The image is bright, clear and focused, and the monitor does more that what is asked of it. In my families case all this means is that it is good for my mother to play her card games, but I am sure this monitor could cope with high spec games and DVD's too. With added DVI-D capability, it is nice to know that this unit is future proof too. The built in speakers work well and save space, but they are never going to be as good as separate speakers. It just depends on what you are looking for ...
