We paid £14,500 for it - it had been pre-registered with the garage 6 months before and had 1,000 miles on the clock. I paid £4,000 deposit and took out the finance that Hyundai were offering at the time. The rate, at that time, was very competitive, but better still, extremely flexible. I was able to pay off chunks of the loan when I felt like it with no added penalties. I paid off the loan very early like this and ended up saving around £1,500 in interest.
At the time the Sante Fe came with a three year warranty, of which two and half years were still outstanding - I never had to use it.
I bought the 2.4 version and expected it to guzzle petrol - it used less than my Audi TT. It takes around £45 - £50 to fill up the tank (depending where you get the petrol from), and goes for around 450 miles, on a combination of motorway and about-town driving - I also have the air-con all the time which isn't very fuel efficient.
The insurance is higher than I expected - and wasn't much different to my TT but I think that is because of the size of the engine.
It is absolutely massive inside - three people can easily sit in the back with loads of leg room - there is an arm rest in the middle at the back and the front. The material seats are also quite plush and came in a nice gray-silver colour. The boot is massive - we keep our 3-wheeler baby buggy in it and there is still room for the weekly shop. It has a retractable cover to go over the contents in the boot and a boot liner and boot net to hold the shopping in and keep it still. The window at the back also opens separately so you don't have to open the whole of the back door.
There is holder for sunglasses at the front in the roof, and lots of nooks and crannies in the door and dash for bits and bobs. And the coolest thing of all is that there are cup holders in both the back and the front!
In terms of safety, I can only speak from my own experience of having a blow-out coming off the M3 in the rush-hour with my nine month old daughter in the back. I used the RAC cover that the Sante Fe came with on the warranty to get help and safely moved to one side of the car. The key thing to note is that I was going quite fast when it happened and was able to pull over safely and sit and wait for help very safely.
The stereo (a Sony one) probably isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like it, it does the job! We bought the CD changer and had it fitted as it comes with a front loading CD player for one CD.
The air con seems to work very quickly and blows well into the backseat.
The service we had was astonishingly cheap at around £150.
This year we changed to a newer version of the same thing and found, to our disbelief that they have improved it even more! They've jazzed up the interior to make it look more modern and more expensive and changed the radio slightly and it could be my imagination but it seems to go even better - AND we got a FIVE year warranty this time I don't think you can beat that!
The garage service was fantastic - they gave us a great price for our old Sante Fe. And both times we've bought cars there they've given us a bouquet of flowers!
And in answer to my first statement - no I don't miss my Audi TT - I find the Sante Fe actually quite quick to respond when I want to accelerate and find it goes around corners just as well. Better still my passengers don't get leg cramps and I can fit everything I need in it!

...from the internet website BCC Hyundai a little over a year ago. The car I bought was Hyundai but they also deal in Kia as well.
I have to say this was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had from the minute I launched their website to the minute I drove away in my new car.
The way it works is simple:
STEP 1
======
Launch the website and search for the car model you want. You can buy both new and used cars from this site. Once you have ... ...and you are happy with "no haggle" price move to step 2.
STEP 2
======
Now you can call them on the freephone number provided.
If you have a part exchange they will deal with this as well. Here is a statement from their website "Contrary to most peoples belief the number of cars ordered by clicking on the enter key via the Internet is very, very small. In 99% of deals being done you will need to speak to the supplier. We don't buck this trend. ...

I purchased my Hyundai from new from a local Hyundai dealer which unfortunately has since moved. Their knowledge and expertise in their cars were well above average. I was at no time pressured into making a purchase with them and they gave me all the time in the world to consider my proposed purchase.
I have since had the vehicle servised by another Hyundai dealer and have found them just as easy and relaxing to deal with. Whoever wrote their company ...

Where would I be without my Amica. Stuck indoors at home, that's where. My little car has opened up a totally new way of life for me at a price I can afford with the reliability I need and with no end of nooks and crannies to store those little extra things that creep into a car that contains two small grandchildren as well as their Mum and me! - and our shopping and a pushchair! My little car had taken me to France and back most economically and it will take a lot to make me change her. If you are seriously considering buying a little run-about town model you could go far wrong if you don't consider an AMICA - powered steering, electric windows, great driving views and light on fuel - what more could you want, eh? ...

Advantages: Very informative & Helpful. Not pushy or rushed. Disadvantages: erm?
We went to Days, chelmsfords hyundai garage in March 2004. We did, to be fair, know exactly what we wanted to look at. Hyundai Getz 1.1. The sales assistant that we spoke to was very lively and informative. He helped us along very much and allowed us to make a good decision on our final choice of car. We bought the car in April 2004, for a very reasonable price too. In June 2004 i needed to take the car back as i had had a small accident with my ... ...They were very helpful and the same sales man pointed me in the correct direction for repairs, I was sent to a fantastic repair place in chelmsford industrial Estate call C.A.R.S. The service was very quick and we were offered a courtesy car as a replacement for the few days it was in the service yard. ...

Advantages: Cheap purchase price, low running costs, ideal in urban areas, comfortable, 5 year warranty Disadvantages: Not in the slightest prestigious, looks that aren't to everyone's taste
After months of shuffling my feet I finally took the plunge, and thanks in part to the Government?s car Scrappage Scheme, I?m now the proud owner of a spanking new Hyundai i10.
I started seriously looking at alternatives for my Peugeot in July, by which time the oil stains on the drive, a slipping clutch and rusting exhaust were a small indication of what lay ahead at the MOT in October.
Why this car?
In short the amazing price of a brand new car. The alternative was, obviously, to trade Pepe the Peugeot 106 for a second hand car, but I imagine my cherished 15 year old car would have got nothing more than a chuckle from most dealers.
So, full of the promises of £1000 of taxpayers money being given to me (sort of) to buy a safer, potentially more environmentally friendly (and did I say brand new?) car than my three ...

Oh yes this is an exclusive review of a car that is not out until mid summer of next year. Okay I may be 15 and I obviously can’t drive the car but I have researched this car for a long time. So I hope this opinion will be enough to wet your appetite for next year because its already caused a flood in mine…

I know what your saying. The Coupe is out at the moment. But this model is all new and ready to reach our shores next year. So I will rate this car as well as I can but you’ll have to bear in mind that I can’t drive the car. Don’t discount me yet though because I am a car anorak and I can talk about the next best thing…

Advantages: Reliable, competatively- priced, stylish, modern vehicle! Disadvantages: Loses value quickly. Poorly thought of by non-Hyundai owners!
After weeks of scanning car ads I came across an advert for a Hyundai Lantra. It was 3 years old and only £2,500!
I wondered what the catch was as it was very cheap for its age!
I decided to check it out anyway! I had never considered a Hyundai as I didn't know anyone who owned one and I had always bought well known brand name cars previously.
On first seeing the car I was amazed how stylish it looked. The bodywork was immaculate; solid, no rust or deteriation and a beautiful shining silver colour. What surprised me most was how modern and eye-catching the styling was!
The interior was equally as impressive. Velour seats, and full electrics including f/f sunroof! Five speed gears and a rev counter finished it off nicely! The stereo was quite basic but the sound was as good as some flashy types. I particularly like ...
