Advantages: Dual core, low power use, cooler running. Disadvantages: may need compatible motherboard or ram.
...If you`re thinking of upgrading your processor or buying a new computer, you really should make sure you get one of these.
If you are going to upgrade your processor and you already have a motherboard capable of running one of these, the E6600 in my opinion is the best of the bunch, with the larger L2 cache and a decent clock speed it`s considerably cheaper than it`s slightly speedier cousin the E6700.
Supplied with a decent heatsink and fan and thermal paste already applied for you it is easy to fit into your motherboard and can easily be overclocked to 3.2 or 3.4Ghz ,though you may require a better heatsink and fan to really push this baby.In my case i`ve had mine running at nearly 3.6ghz but for general day to day running i keep it at 3.0Ghz,which is a decent overclock and a superb saving in money terms as an E6700 only...

Advantages: Complete Multimedia soultion Disadvantages: No
...I have thoroughly checked the Configuration of the product. I have a very good experience with the Intel Core2Duo processor, there is an excellent combination with SATA, the system performance is exceptionally great, and with 677Mhz buss speed everything is very much compact.
As for as the multimedia functionality are concerned the you will find the complete solution, DVD multi burner, excellent graphic support with 512 Mb video memory along with the TV tuner card, you can enjoy TV, DVD, etc on this machine. High speed LAN connectivity will provide you its other networking options as will, and you can also enjoy Internet through DSL or from you cable operator.
Windows Vista Home will provide you the great and comfortable working environment on that machine. I will recommend this and you will enjoy....

...'s needed to maximise the efficiency of processing.
The core2duo processor is avaiable in several variants, from the e6300 up to the extreme series ex6800, which is the same as the chip i've got, but clock unlocked, so the processor speed is even faster.
There really is no set of chips on the market to rival these, if you're after a cheap upgrade, the e6300 or e6400 are a bargain, for serious power i highly recommend the e6700, which is just amazing....
