Advantages: Quite a fast drive. Disadvantages: One of the "Deathstar" drives.
...Whether you are thinking of buying this drive (2nd hand, most likely as it's a couple of years old) or own one of IBM's 60GXP, 75GXP or 120GXP models, read on for important information about issues with these drives and fixing them.
** THE DRIVE **
Capacity: 40 GB (38.3 GB as reported in windows)
Rotational Speed: 7200 RPM
Interface: ATA-100
Average seek time: 8.5 ms
It's a fast enough drive. It seems to perform quite a bit better than the 5400 rpm 45 GB Western Digital drive I had, it's quite a bit quieter and this one's not dead ... yet.

It didn't take long for a lot of people...

Advantages: The most flexible and powerfull laptop out there Disadvantages: the price
...I wish Santa would have left that little toy under the tree but no luck, maybe next year.
IBM as made a name for itself in the laptop insdustry for leading the pack. Their machines are all work, no fun though, which as made them a favorite for business users.

the difference is mainly the hard drive, the screen definition either 1400x1050 or 1024x768 (all models are 14.1" by the way) and the options (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CD/DVD writer combo, ibm security chip) all in all in a neat little package of 2.5 Kg.
the top models are powered by an ATI Radeon 7500 with 16 Mb...

Advantages: A trustworthy Notebook from the creators of the PC Disadvantages: Now a little out of date
...actually inhance your computer experiance.
The keyboard light which is hidden above the screen, shines down onto the keyboard to let you see the actual keys.
The titanium lid, prevents scratches and dents, you can physically drop the laptop, and it would still work, how many times have you dropped your laptop? Trust me it happens, how many mobile phones have little dents due to dropping?
The unique keyboard allows you to have little coffee accidents. If you drop your coffee you just need to put the computer into hibernation, which turns the computer off without loosing the work your currently working on, then dry the computer, then begin using it again. Your data is safe!
The Ultrabay 2000, is a cdrom drive, which you can swap for a floppy disc drive / dvd / battery / 2nd hard disk even when the computer is on.
A very unique...
