Intel Xeon The Best Server Processor!

Advantages: Fast, Cheap, Stable
Disadvantages: Nothing

1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from store. Pros: Excellent performance per watt. I'll be using these processors in a machine that will be doing a lot of video compression and 3D modeling, which are some of the applications that Intel processors are better suited for than A M D's (comparing the Clover town X e o n to the Barcelona O p t e r o n). I like A M D's C P U s too, but I n t e l s are the better tool for these jobs. Cons: None so far, but there is a caveat that purchasers should be aware of. The LGA771 socket requires a special case that accommodates the heat sink for the processors. The LGA771 specs require that the heat sink be attached directly to the case instead of the motherboard. And so the case needs a special set of standoffs or a mounting plate for the heat sink to screw onto. Intel says the case ...

Very good Speed and unbelieveable performance and The Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-core Intel Xeon processors and realiable performance and I always advice my friends, visiter and colike. In my view overall good performance Easily purchase. Good Manufacture support and overall we see performance, efficiency, design very valuable. P4 3.2GHz CPU with 512Kb Cache! Expensive but fast

Advantages: FAST, Retail box comes with fan, sticker, manual
Disadvantages: More expensive than Celerons, AMDs, etc

Okay, so I bought myself a motherboard (see Asus P4C800-E Deluxe review) to build a computer but it?s not a computer without the rest of the components. One of these other components I needed was the CPU. ?HUH? A C-P-What?!!!??.Well since you ask, I will tell you. CPU is an acronym for Central Processing Unit (aka: Processor). This is the computer?s brain and it plays an important role in a computer. This is where all the information ?processed? and where all the calculations are done. Generally, the faster the CPU, the better the performance but there are other factors to take into consideration. It usually looks like a square metal thing, with gold pins underneath but Pentium 3?s have a single connector that slots into a slot rather than use pins. The CPU I am reviewing is Intel?s Pentium 4 (P4 for short) 3.2GHz CPU. This one has ...
