Advantages: A trustworthy Notebook from the creators of the PC Disadvantages: Now a little out of date
...There are many notebooks avaliable today, from your £300 own brand notebooks to the £1000 top of the range notebooks.
IBM provides notebooks for all price ranges.
The T series is the ultimate in Travel Notebooks, they combine performance and reliability with travel. These are there Top Models.
All T series' have an outstanding battery life, my T23 started with 4 REAL hours of usability.
Most manufacturers claim 3-4 hours but when IBM says 4 Hours, they actually mean it, bearing in mind that my battery is 2 years old.
The Notebook comes with some really good IBMplus points, like the nipple, and the keyboard light.
Yes this notebook has a nipple, this may sound strange, but it is the best alternative to the mouse, it is more accurate and much easier to use than a glide pad. Its amazing how that small little red dot can actually...

Advantages: Easy to set up, compact, all-in-one Disadvantages: Not much scope for expansion, fairly pricey
...The Shuttle series of multi-tasking computers are extremely pretty, extremely small and extremely good at what they're for - all-round performance!
You have the obivous benefits of a small system which uses up minimal desk/tv cabinet/wherever-you-choose space and looks great whilst doing it - a welcome break from huge unsightl white desktop boxes. A huge plus is that it's also near silent, so great for wtaching movies and listening to music.
Performance is also very good. Although obviously it can't be compared to the latest spec. gaes workstation, it certainly does what most people need when kitted out with modest equipment.
The major gripe with this system is that upgrade potential is fairly limited. Whilst it does have enough room for what most users are likely to need, you can forget having two hard drives, floppy drive, memory...

Advantages: The most flexible and powerfull laptop out there Disadvantages: the price
...I wish Santa would have left that little toy under the tree but no luck, maybe next year.
IBM as made a name for itself in the laptop insdustry for leading the pack. Their machines are all work, no fun though, which as made them a favorite for business users.
The Thinkpads T30s are IBM Thin-and-light series which is supposed to be a compromise between power and portability. Well in fact the only limit to the power you can have in this little thing is how deep your wallet is. the prices range from a 1500 L to 3500 L.
the difference is mainly the hard drive, the screen definition either 1400x1050 or 1024x768 (all models are 14.1" by the way) and the options (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CD/DVD writer combo, ibm security chip) all in all in a neat little package of 2.5 Kg.
the top models are powered by an ATI Radeon 7500 with 16 Mb of dedicated...
