Advantages: Looks and feels good, easy to work and carry about Disadvantages: battery broken within a year
This laptop is really good. however I have owned mine for just under a year now and the battery has broken so I need to get it fixed which is very annoying. Apart from the battery breaking I think that the laptop is great and I would buy a Dell laptop again. I use my laptop everyday but i would have expected the batttery to last longer, especially seeing as it is dell. Now I have the hassel of getting the battery fixed. I would still reccomend this dell laptop to other people as it is good value for money and looks nice etc and apart from the battery the laptop is easy to use and I haven't had any other problems with it. Dell is usually a reliable service and hopefully it wont be too bad having to get the battery fix, if not then I can buy a new battery. ...
Advantages: Comfortable, Long battery life, bright screen, nice keyboard Disadvantages: Only 3 USB ports, Badly placed headphone jack,
Previously, when buying laptops I normally went to the cheapest one I could find with the most RAM, but when this laptop was the first I actually spent a over £300 on. I am incredibly pleased with my purchase and haven't regretted it at one bit. I bought mine with an upgraded battery and graphics card so I could play video games.
Battery Life:
- lasts about 1 hour while playing games and about 2-3 while surfing the web or using word or powerpoint.
Screen:
- Bright and vibrant.
Keyboard and Mouse:
- The keyboard is very nice.
- The touchpad however can be a little unresponsive, especially the scrollbar on the right side, and the zoom thing on the left.
Extra Features:
- Lots of extra media buttons on the function keys. This is very useful for changing songs etc, while playing games and it means you don't have to minimize ...
Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features, Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now
family's files were lost in the reinstall, so I didn't even have to restore things from backup.
Like other Inspiron laptops, the computer feels reasonably solid, weighing about 2.5kg. The finish is very shiny and doesn't feel cheap. The TrueLife screen offers excellent viewing quality, but is very reflective. I found the widescreen ratio to be a little bit hard to get used to - the screen is shorter and wider, so you have to page down more often.
The computer connected easily to the wireless router, which was just as well because the Ethernet port came loose after only a few months. The battery life wasn't fantastic, but if you mainly use it plugged in, then this isn't an issue. The keyboard was much like any other laptop keyboard - obviously the keys don't go down as far as a regular keyboard that comes with a desktop and sound a bit clicky ...
