Advantages: CONFIGURES IN TWO WAYS. Disadvantages: MIGHT BE COSTLY TO SOME.
Well this actually awakens your pc by increasing the processing speed of your PC. My previous processor, which is Intel, has actually gone old so I needed some up grade. In terms of recommendations, I will highly recommend this to the fullest because of its processing speed and efficiency.
With the 2-way 1.65ghzprocessor with a 36mb l cache, the processorboard is capable of processing perfectly and all right so this is a good alternative if you actually want to upgrade your PC.
The cache memory has good memory capacity of 72mb L3 cache. The new processor on the p5-550 allows you to configure in both ways either a 2- way or 4 way system. With the new 1.65ghzprocessor, there are wide ranges of system storage offerings.
As a pc gamer, the new IBMprocessorboard has given me some special entertainment with my games by ...
Advantages: Dual Core, Low power usage* and Fast! Disadvantages: Motherboards can be costly for this!
I used this processor to build a completely new computer for xmas (a present for myself ha ha!) and when i first opened the box it was the usual core. In the package there was the core, cool silver gel, heatsink (fan) and the instructions.
I had to buy a new motherboard anyway but be wary the motherboards for the AM2 versions can be rather pricey but the advantage of AM2 means that a lower power usage and so a cooler processor and less fans needed! Also the AM2board means that the memory accepted is the newer DDR2 RAM which is roughly the same price as DDR RAM but faster! Excellent!
Installing the processor was little trouble and there were no problems.
The performance of the processor is excellent, dual cores are excellent things! I bought this after thinking about buying a dual core pentium however they are very similar but ...
Advantages: 64-bit future proofed, speedy, excellent value for money Disadvantages: Dual core AMD 64 CPUS are faster... but hey it would make this CPU cheaper so it's not all bad!
meant less heat would be generated, and the closer contacts would pass information more quickly.
But that's as much in common both the CPU companies had with each other, as their other methods of manufacturing and selling their CPUs differ immensely. Intel sported a 'clock-speed sells' stance, trying to clock their CPU speeds at really high frequencies i.e. 3.2GHz, 3.4GHz. This meant that the CPU ran immensely hot, drew a lot of power and Intel discovered they couldn't clock their CPUs any higher than 3.8GHz. They hit a bottleneck. The heatsink and fan provided by Intel for their CPU in their retail boxes only just manages to keep the CPU stable at just slightly above 70 degrees Celsius. A lot of people opted to use water-cooling if they wanted an Intel CPU.
AMD on the other hand chose a different path and had their CPUs run at lower ...
