Remote Deployment Manager (RDM) V4.20 is a deployment tool based on the IBM Director systems management product. RDM is used primarily for the deployment of software and firmware images, including the operating system, in a preboot environment. RDM helps automate operating system deployment to large numbers of systems and helps reduce costs associated with managing remote, dispersed, and IT assets. RDM V4.20 is the latest release of the IBM xSeries server network deployment tool based on the industry standards such as Wake on LAN (WOL) and the Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE). RDM V4.20 supports deployment of both Windows and Linux operating systems through native installation methods. Windows is also supported through image capture and deployment (cloning). Operating systems can be deployed to local hard drives, local RAID storage, or BladeCenter fibre-attached SAN storage. System administrators can use a single interface for deploying systems. RDM V4.20 supports scripting of multiple tasks for complete deployment of a system and custom tasks for unique deployment requirements.

...I have a DVD player, CD Player, A/V Amplifier sitting in my front room all linked to my LCD TV and Sky Digi Box. They all work fine but it does take up quite a bit of room and I'd realistically like an HTPC set up to bring my multimedia module into one unit!

...I'm addicted to books - I already own more than 500 and my wish list still is long. Everybody who has the same weakness knows, that after a while, you're quite likely to lose count of how many books you have, and even more important, of what books you have! Not only once I was close to buying a book that's already waiting in my bookshelf to be read. As that happened again and again I decided that I had to do something about it - and that's how I came across "MediaMan".

Advantages: Runs every type of media file imaginable, wide range of features Disadvantages: Has trouble with layer-changing on DVD's
...a download manager built in so you can grab big files over multiple download sessions, a TV tuner program, and a web radio station finder.
With the easy-to use interface, masses of options for such things as fading between songs, and the obligatory pretty visuals when you're playing music, Media Jukebox would be more than level with its competitors even on the standard filetypes - and when you consider all the extra formats it can handle, it's no wonder that it's now my number one choice for all sorts of audio files.
What Media Jukebox does with audio files, it also does with video formats. Rather than having to use three distinct players to open different types of movies, this program will play RealPlayer and QuickTime formats in addition to the MPEG-related formats supported by Windows Media Player and others. It actually handles Real...
