...keyboard. I found the IBM PC110 (imported from T-Zone in Japan), a 486 handheld that was not terribly stable. It was the first machine I ever had with a CF slot! I returned it after crash after crash. I embraced the Psion 5 and 5mx, but there were always connection issues with my desktop computers. I had several models of the Jornada clamshell series, the 660, 680 and 720, but all were larger than I really wanted, had a low screen resolution and the built-in web browser was worse than useless. I realized that only a fully Windows compatible system would serve. Why not the Zaurus? Because I don't know Linux and I want a machine that will work out of the box, not one I have to tinker with to get to work. Then came the Flipstart, but after years as vaporware, I gave up on it. The Nokia 770 was nice, but it was slow and quite limited.
Then came...

Advantages: Big and FAST Disadvantages: None come to mind......
...This is the second Lacie drive I've purchased, the former being a 120Gb d2 drive. This newer 400Gb drive features USB2 and firewire 400/800 connections allowing for connection to the more standard newer interfaces. I use a firewire 400 connection.
After looking at all the similar disks of different sizes, this model seemed the best for the price per Gig.....and this disk is fast! I use it on a windows 2K box, and it performs very well, and has not even been turned off for about 3 months. 3D animations stream off this incredibly fast, and the bottleneck if any would appear to be how fat the actual computer can deal with the data. I havent tested it, but I've heard that firewire 800 can be very cpu intensive....always best to get a good quality interface card to try and offload work from the main CPU.
Lacie do bigger disks...

Advantages: 8GB of data storage Disadvantages: none
...Memory is still relatively new and has already made an impact on memory storage methods.
During the mid 1990's; Zip drives (portable devices) were used frequently instead; they were 8 times bigger than the memory key and a lot heavier carrying around in a case. Furthermore has less than a third of the storage capacity. The memory stick is a much more friendlier device for compatibility/ travelling and data storage.

The SanDisk Cruzer Micro flash memory key for 8GB is £34.99. -- 8/10 value for money. It is worth a shop around as these types of storage memory components have always got a deal on.
www.amazon.co.uk is a great place to start.
-Overal opinion-
The 8GB of capacity space provides much more media files, like hi-definition WAVS and MP3 sound files AVI files MP4 files for mobile...
