I have been using this product for one month now and must say, although being a bit sceptical to begin with; I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of the product.
I have mild Arthritis and wanted to minimise my typing input.
On receiving the product, there are clear installation guidelines to follow.
Once installed you 'teach' the voice recognition model to recognise the way you pronounce certain words. This involves reading text into your headset. The user is able to read as little text, or all of the text provided, obviously the more you are able to do the more accurate it will become. This is a straightforward process.
The product claims that after a certain amount of usage you will not need to speak punctuation commands etc, I have not yet reached that stage of usage although, it is infact very easy to speak commands to the product.
You are able to view a full list of commands necessary to make the usage more personalised, and are able to set different user profiles if you share the computer the software is installed on.
Having used the product for a month or so, I am very happy with its understanding and ability to be taught and re-taught voice recognition personal to the user. There are also several settings that can be adjusted to your own preferences, speed, accuracy etc.
The main disadvantage I have encountered so far is that I am using windows XP and IE7, and if I choose to dictate directly into IE7, it does tend to slow the page down considerably. However, it is not necessary to type directly into IE as you have the ability to dictate into 'speak pad' , do your corrections etc and then transfer into the application of your choice. I found this process much faster and able to cope with me talking pretty fast.
Finally, I am in-fact using this product to dictate this review, and have only had to correct three misrecognised words.
My overall satisfaction rate so far (1 months usage) is an 8 out of 10.

I saw a very similar product on QVC and I thought it would be really handy but wasn't sure how well it worked now I know! Very useful 1st review and welcome to ciao x
