We bought a full ikea kitchen about 1.5 years ago. Now the first thing that I can say is they are so affordable. When looking to redo our entire kitchen, we spent only about 2500$. Most people spend a lot more than this. Ikea delivered the kitchen in 96 boxes! Yup, their kitchens come the same way as all of their other products. This aspect was a little bit of a pain, because it is labour intensive, but it works if you have time and not money. I built all of the cupboards with a broken arm, it was challenging at first, but once you have done two or three and you know how they work, they are very easy to snap together quickly, but make sure you have space! You need space for the boxes and space to build the cupboards, and more space to put all of the cupboards you have already built so they are not in your way. When it came time to put the kitchen together, the instructional DVD that came with everything was very easy to understand, it takes about 20 mins to watch and then you should be on your way. Hanging the cupboards and building the kitchen was simple! you measure down from your ceiling and screw a track in to the wall, you hang your cupboards on the track and secure them with a nut, we couldnt believe how easy it was. Of course everything has to be level and you have to take good measurements to make sure that the pieces you select for your kitchen will fit. The staff was helpful and you can get worksheets from the store to draw out your kitchen. Once everything was up, our kitchen looked beautiful, we have not had any problems with quality or everyday use. Overall, in our opinion, this was an excellent value for the money, and we had alot of fun building it together.
