I recently purchased a groupon voucher for twenty pounds this was for a MOT and a small valet. Seemed a reasonable deal so I was quick to sign up. I had my car checked over prior to the MOT by a friend who is a mechanic and used to test cars so that I wouldnt have to go back for a retest. I dropped the car off and came back to find it had failed... Reasons wiper blade not clearing windscreen and beam of headlight off on nearside. The team were quick to offer fixing the minor defects at a cost of £40 per hour labour and £10 parts. I asked why so much and they told me they would have to remove the whole headlight from the car to fix it and fit a new wiper blade. I was not happy I went out to my car and simply put my hand behind the light fitting and popped my bulb back into position (2 seconds) I then checked the wiper and there was nothing wrong with it so complained. After arguing my point they evenually passed my car. Take to an independant tester dont get ripped off!
