of leads in to each PC. The F1DL102P has PS/2 leads for the keyboard and mouse but a USB version is also available. The audio support is limited to a single stereo jack and microphone input but given the market this is aimed at, I can't really see the lack of multi-channel audio support to be a problem.
The monitor, keyboard and mouse are then connected to the KVM to complete the set up. One bugbear is that like the vast majority of KVMs, this Belkin unit has cables going in one end and out the other making it difficult to place on a desktop without having cables hanging out everywhere. However, there is no reason why you can't just tuck it out the way out of sight as it has no parts you'd normally need to access. The leads were of a generous length allowing some room to manoeuvre on PC placement.

has USB connections for the keyboard and mouse although Belkin do a range of KVM's so you can probably find a PS/2 equivelent if you have that sort of mouse/keyboard. The PS/2 models also include PS/2->USB adaptors so you'll also need those if you have a USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard. This particular model has no support for audio so if you need to also have your microphone and speakers switch from PC to PC, look elsewhere.

two).Switching between pc's is just a keystoke and its quite strange at first to instantly move between one display/audio/input and another.
This belkin switch is a big improvement on previous models but beware when buying, several Belkin KVM's have almost the same model numbers and names, make sure you get the USB model, as usual with Belkin old models hang around for ages especially when buying on line and you can easy end up with an old ps2 model some dealer is trying to off load to make way for the new style. This is not helped by the price structure,an old style switch can often come up at a hight price than the new one so take care.
Bottom line is,as usual with Belkin the product will do what is says it will and in this case better than before,if you use more than one pc on a regular basis then this is a must have ...

Manufacturer's product description
IOGEAR's GCS942UW6 DVI-D Hybrid KVM addresses the problem of connecting a USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard to a KVM. No longer do you need to give up your favorite keyboard or mouse to accommodate a PS/2 or USB only KVM - this is the best of both worlds. In addition to the hybrid connections you can share your desktop speakers and microphone between both computers, plus have the ability to switch them independently from KVM functions. You can make an Internet call from one computer while working on a spreadsheet on another computer without skipping a beat. The GCS942UW6 has a selectable rate auto scan mode to allow hands-off monitoring of your computers which is perfect for the times when you have processes running on both computers, and want to monitor their progress, i.e. a virus scan on one and a disk defragmenting. Two methods: hot keys, or the one touch switch, enable you to switch computers to match the KVM to your style of work rather than the other way round. The GCS942UW6 can be placed on the floor behind your desk to help minimize desktop clutter while staggered cables lengths aid in taming the cable tangle behind your computers. The one touch switch is small enough to be placed in a handy, out-of-the-way place. The GCS942UW6 has a video resolution to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz; DDC2B at 60Hz, and the one touch switch has LEDs to identify the active port.
