Advantages Advantages Top sound and build quality. Range of functions.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Navigation takes getting used to. Size bigger than other mp3.

I have now had my iRiver H320 for 2 & half years. I've had no problems with it, other than the common problems of headphones from various companies breaking. I'd perhaps say I'm noticing the battery is needing charging more often now, but after 2 years that's to be expected. I have used this mp3 player so much. As well as the obvious listening to music, I used to use it often for transferring images and files to other computers until I got a memory card reader. A plus point about the mp3 player working as an external hard drive is that you can drag & drop music onto it just as easily as any ... more

Advantages Advantages Great features, customisable, reliable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly Bulky

I bought one of these when they first came out and it's still going strong. It has impeccable sound quality (forget tinny ipods) especially when coupled with good headphones. The upgradable firmware is great for customising. It is by far the best of ANY mp3 player I've used, and if they don't bring out another version soon, I'm seriously tempted by upgrading to the 40gb. The only downside that I have noticed is the size - it could be considered bulky. But to be entirely honest, you wouldn't recognise this after a while. Finally, my single favourite feature of this mp3 player; you use windows ... more

Advantages Advantages Video, Large Capacity, Can Be Modded in many ways, and DRM support

Disadvantages Disadvantages No gaplees playbak, video only 10fps :(

After getting my Iriver over 6 months ago, i am very pleased, when i bouth the player from amazon it didnt say on the box or anyhwere that Videos can be played on the iRiver. After some exploring around the internet and after joining a few forums i found out thta n new firmware was relesed and that i could play video, this is better then any other MP3 player so far, except for the iaudio X5, but, the only dwnside being that there is a limit of 10 frames per second. Fortunately, a compay called rockox is developing firmware for this player, which should enhance all the abilities of this player ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Sound Quality & FM Tuner

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite Big.

This is a really good MP3 player, it can play MP3, Ogg, WMA and protected WMA. On the 20GB hard rive, you can store anything that is on your computer, it acts as an external hard drive. You can put pictures on and use it as a photo viewer. Although when viewing photos be prepared to wait a bit because they load quite slowly. The MP3 player is very big and bulky, but you have to take into consideration the amount of features that it has. Also I think that iRiver could have come up with a better menu scrolling system. When I first found it, I found myself referring to the manual every time I ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages unable to scroll by artist name

this mp3 player worked to coped to be every bit satisfactory although slightly geeky in appearance it does the job flawlessly, and it doesnt seem that for the same value any ipod comes close to its performance and built in fuctionality, i t has 20gig harddrive and can be used for extra storage space, it plays videos displays pictures and books which are interesting to read on the abundantly colorful screen, it has a built in microphone which records straight to mp3 so could be used to record live music etc, there are plenty of sound modes including normal and a line out aswell as headphones ... more
