An excellent MP3 player, iRiver really is the alternative to the iPod - and isn't lacking in features!
It sounds superb and the sound levels are impressive. It also features the ability to save .txt files and pictures files to the system (which cannot be watched with music - but why waste battery power like certain other mp3 players seem to want you to do) - as well as having a radio.
The battery life is actually quite impressive (even after having it for 2 years or so now). What's also really handy, is being able to charge it both via mains, or by the USB cable (which is much faster than you would imagine it to be!). It is also completly plug and play (with newer windows versions) - which means you open a folder, drag and drop
