Trisha is a very pleasant host and tries her best to put her guests at their ease. I think the problem is that the British aren't as good or as comfortable in front of the cameras as the Americans are.
Anyone who has watched say Ricky Lake or Maury Povich, sees that the host doesn't really have to do too much. The real entertainment comes from the guests and the audience, who sometimes come out with real corkers of comments.I think Trisha should move onto another project and that we should stop doing chat shows here. The British just aren't as comfortable with airing their dirty linen in public like their US counterparts so the show isn't anywhere near as entertaining.
