I bought this book a while ago from Waterstones, it cost me £7.50 it is a paperback book with a free audio CD. I noticed today in Waterstones that they have them in stock again, on offer, buy 3 books for the price of 2. I didnt have a lot of weight to lose, I just felt sluggish and had been eating non stop cakes, sweets and chips for no reason other than I was bored. I read the book, then listened to the CD. Everything that the book says is true. He says that people eat out of habit, oh look its lunchtime, I better eat, but what you should be doing is asking yourself if you are actually hungry. The book is simple to understand and I dont listen to the CD every day, just about every couple of weeks.
I started to lose weight instantly and lost a total of around half a stone. I am at my ideal weight right now and if I ever feel myself starting to over eat I just read the book again to remind myself of the ideas in it. There is also a handy list in the book, it is a hunger scale.
He says that before you eat anything, ask yourself to rate how hungry you feel, and you should only eat when you are at number 3 or 4. Sounds simple doesnt it, but it worked for me. It probably wont work for everyone, my husband thinks that hypnotism is a load of rubbish, he tried to give up smoking and saw various hypnotists and they didnt work because he didnt want to believe in it.
Paul McKenna also says that when eating you should really eat slowly, think about how the food tastes, enjoy every mouthful, again this makes sense, how many times have you eaten a chippy meal quickly whilst watching the television and then noticed that it is all gone but you never even realised that you ate it. I suppose this is all down to common sense really, but he just explains it very well in the book. I would recommend this book and I am very pleased with it.

I tried this and found it to be a sensible and effective approach to controlling your weight. I lost 2 stone using it, and I especially liked the way that McKenna tells you to exercise as well as follow his plan - too many weight lossprogrammes omit this vital point.

Good review, this isn't for me though, eat well and exercise is the best way to keep in shape in my opinion
