All the Little Princess stories seem to get right to the heart of the things that cause problems for little girls, and this story is a must for any little princess who doesn't like to have her hair brushed or combed.
At the start of the story the Little Princess is running away from the maid who is trying to comb her hair and it turns out that she keeps hiding the combs! The queen threatens to take her to the hairdressers which she absolutely hates the idea of! Instead they decide that the Little Princess herself can be in charge of combing. However, as always she takes this literally and goes round combing everyone else's hair and not her own! Even the prime ...

My daughter is a big fan of the Little Princess animated TV programmes that are shown on Channel 5 and as a consequence has been given quite a few of the accompanying picture books for Christmas and birthdays. The latest one in her collection is IDon'tWant a Cold! which is just as good as all of the others that we have read.
The main character in all of the books is the little princess herself. She lives in a big castle witrh a lot of important grown ups, such as the king, queen, prime minister, admiral, general, as well as a maid, a chef and a gardener. Unsurprisingly then she is a little precocious and you could say that she is wise beyond her years! She is definitely not afraid to speak her mind which she often does! All of the characters in the little princess books are brilliant and very funny!
