...The I-Mate K-JAM is also known as the O2 XDA Mini-S. It has a slide-out keyboard which is a very innovative space saver in the design. The Windows Mobile Edition operating system makes the advanced user feel very at home with the Windows XP style design.
However, the bluetooth program is very difficult to use since it has no simple connect button. The variety of programs available for the Windows Mobile operating system makes gaming possibilities, GPS solutions and other software easy to get hold of. The processor is slow and can sometimes cause long loading times or errors, but mostly just slow software.
Although there are a few minor problems with this phone, the basics are there with a large variety of extras. From personal experience, I will never return to normal mobile phone operating systems due to their abstract menus...

...I've run this phone on a Vodafone contract for just over a year now. Previously, I'd had an SPV, which was great, but a little fiddly for many of the smartphone features. The K-JAM resolves every issue that I ever had with the SPV, and provides more functionality that I didn't know I wanted.
The first thing to grab your attention will be the slide-out keyboard. This is guaranteed to impress everyone when they see it, and it is as good as it looks. I find the keys very well proportioned, although I do have thin fingers - if you have bigger fingers, you might find it slightly more tricky. Although you have the option of entering data using the stylus (and the letter recognition software is impressive), the keyboard does make things so much easier. The only thing I dislike about the keyboard is the fact that some symbols are only...

Advantages: High spec, good looks, smallest PDA available and great value for money. Disadvantages: No intergrated WiFi and less RAM than some PDA's.
...I first became addicted to Pocket PC’s with my HP IPAQ 4150 which was a birthday present from my husband. I quickly found I could not live without it.
Then when I came to renew my mobile phone contract I thought “wouldn’t it be great to have a Pocket PC and Phone in one”. A techie friend had showed my his Smartphone but after using a windows based Pocket PC I knew it wasn’t for me – I was clearly spoilt, I needed a user friendly interface and top notch performance. Then my husband introduced to me to i-mate.
I browsed the i-mate website, saw the JAM, and knew I had to have it.
