Manufacturer's product description
With i.Share 3.5, your office, classroom or workgroup can make the most of your network connections by delivering Web content and e-mail to everyone using one Internet connection and one ISP account. i.Share 3.5's server-side caching features, combined with enhanced network and application management features make it the fastest and most easy-to-install and manage version of i.Share ever. i.Share 3.5 now includes support for TCP/IP, so customers can run i.Share across networks using Microsoft NetBEUI, Artisoft NetBIOS, Novell IPX/SPX or TCP/IP protocols. Server-side URL caching speeds office-wide Internet sharing by off-loading client requests for frequently-accessed Web pages to the i.Share server. By storing Web content on your i.Share server, everyone in your office can view frequently-accessed Web content without connecting to the Internet. This not only frees up your Internet connection--it also takes the burden of storing Web pages on individual client PCs. For customers that wish to configure i.Share to work with specific network resources and/or other Winsock applications, i.Share 3.5 offers enhanced network resource and application management tools. These easy-to-use management features ensure that end users select the correct network adapter when connecting to the Internet, while preventing any conflicts between i.Share and other Winsock applications.
Advantages: I think to be the best on the market Disadvantages: none that i have found
...WOW is all I can say, after being advised by an expert about which is the best software to use for antivirus protection I always got directed to Norton. I first used norton antivirus 2004 and this was great, it found all viruses that even I was surprised I had on my PC and offered free updates for a whole year. So come the new year I wanted better and I got it with Norton AntiVirus 2005 11.0 and this is even better. I recently found 527 viruses on my PC thanks to Norton.
Features:
This package comes with again the free updates until 2006,
It will autoprotect your PC, kind of like a 24hour personal guard service,
It comes with internet worm protection,
Email scanning so now you can feel alot safer if you recieve a virus infected e-mail,
The ability to do a full system scan or just scan selected files,
Automatically...

Advantages: Easy to install Disadvantages: Very difficult to navigate
...activity coming from your PC (the latter can indicate an active Trojan horse on your computer). Version 3.5 boasts the new Application Protection scheme, which alerts you if an application's executable file changes without your knowledge--another possible Trojan horse indicator--because infections can hide inside legitimate software.
But this protection proves annoying at times. BlackIce pops up a dialog box every time you install a new app or utility, even if the new program doesn't access the Net, and the first time that Web-related apps go online. You can tell BlackIce to stop showing these dialogs, but I prefer Norton Internet Security's automatic-access configuration, which doesn't pester you each time.
Despite such confusion, BlackIce adequately protects your PC. I ran all the usual tests to probe for unprotected ports, and...

Advantages: Ease of use, SmartSound, improved audio and titling Disadvantages: No background rendering, some new features a bit fiddly.
...and convert them to a different format in one hit. Nice to see is the support for MPEG4 (DIVX) and AC3 Dolby Digital audio as well as 16:9 footage. Note though that the first two options require plug-ins at additional cost (£13.78 each).
Ulead have done their best to ensure you have as much at your disposal as possible when it comes to creating your video masterpieces. One things still sorely lacking though is background rendering. Until you prepare your final output either to tape or DVD/CD, no rendering is done. Pinnacle's Studio 9 does this in the background as you work and it's a great time saver when filters and effects have been used.
Conclusion
Whilst I felt some of the newer features could have been more intuitive in use, they all added to what was already an impressive package. I wasn't much impressed by the Movie Wizard...
