***Who is Hunter Thompson***
Thompson was one of the controversial American greats who chose to write about subjects many avoided in a candid and honest manner which most shied away from in fear of offending. The difference between Thompson and other authors is that Thompson genuinely didn't care who he offended.

These commissions, particularly his work with Rolling Stone would go on to propel Thompson into the fully-fledged world of Gonzo Journalism of which he was the founder, creator and the ruling king. Frozen Elk Heart Review ofHappy Birthday, Jack Nicholson - Hunter S. Thompsonby
Jagermeister5
Advantages: Detatched hilarity Disadvantages: Very bizzare ramblings, confusing
...This neat size little book begins with a grim insight into the recent 911 tragedy, refering to the towers as being reduced to bloody smolders of rubble.
The main Gonzo piece Is one typical of Thompsons insane ventures, driving for ages feeling crisp and wise, head loaded with chemical intospective.
With a dangerously weird prank in mind, The Dr. packs an elk heart, frozen fresh from Owl farm, and with a brace of explosions and the sound of squeeling pigs surrounding, he slumps the still bleeding muscle onto the neighbouring actors doorstep.
Feeling spooked and embarassed at the reality of his act, Thompson flees back to Woody Creek in seach of refuge, only to be aprehended by Nicholson himself the following morning.
A must-read for any Gonzo fan, as this book offers a tidy packet of tricks often unavailable in his other pieces....
