Ibanez RG370DX
I bought this guitar around 3 months after starting to learn how to play the instrument on a guitar borrowed by a friend. I went to my local music store and played a few guitars in my price range to see what one I liked the most. The Ibanez RG370DX stuck out the most. In my opinion it feels so nice to play - the neck is smooth, the action is not too low and not too high, it is just right. I use the guitar with 9 gauge Roto Sound Orange strings, and I get a really nice sound out the instrument.
The guitar is very well contstructed, it is very durable and takes a bit of a beating. It also looks amazing in my opinion, and sounds just as good as it looks, if not better! The quality of sound, in my eyes, is extremely good - you can choose between 5 different pick up settings with the 5 way pick up selector switch, each ...
Advantages: the guitar overall Disadvantages: the fact that one is not enough
theres not much not to say on this, my favourite of toys.
the black wood of the body against the lighter wood of the neck.
perfect
technically, a masterpiece. the wizard III neck combined with the ibanez floating tremelo system. together with the two perfectly placed pickups.
the neck - thin fast and so easy to glide it actually takes getting used to
the body - nice shape nice finish and does not restrict playing the 24 frets.
the tremelo - the first floating tremelo system i have not actually had to retune every 10 minutes of playing.easy to lock if not wanted and easy to use whilst playing
the pickups - a great sound combined with manipulation for playing with 5 different tones to the guitar.
overall i am bias in what i say but i dont care
i really do enjoy playing this guitar ...
Advantages: Great weight, tone and price Disadvantages: maybe too heavy for some
I purchased the Ibanez AX320T a few years back and this guitar still surprises me everytime i pick it up. When i went looking for a guitar to buy i was looking for something that felt similar to my old Gibson SG but not at the same price as at the time i didn't have the funds. I looked at the range of guitars in the same price range and so many of them felt too light (Cheap wood) and a bit amatuarish, even one of the PRS's felt cheap! then i spotted the Ibanez. First thing i noticed was that it looked similar and then found out the sound when i plugged it in! Pure Classic Rock tone oozed out of it! :) I'm pretty sure its a mahogany body which explains the nice weighty feel and the pickups are nice and beefy like the SG but also i was surprised to find you can also get a slight strat tone!! This guitar feels so nice to play, i can play ...
