this guitar is a step up from your basic beginners guitar. It plays like a dream compared to some but to be honest i do not rate it as i have found mine to be unreliable. It has potential to be a good guitar however from personal experience the floyd rose system is ineffective on this modle. My guitar kept going out of tune a lot quicker than it should and the actual system has broke 3 times, where by the springs underneath the bridge have gone off centre and casued the hole thing to re aline in such a way so as you cant tune it. I paid £300 for this guitar and have spent over £150 fixing it in just over 18 months.
Whilst i say that however, i do know that other people will have had good experiences with it. Apart from reliability it is a very nice amature guitar that looks kewl and has a nice tone to it. it sounds good when playing a small venue and is generally nice to pick up and play. The neck is slightly wider than a basic guitar giving your fingures more space to move along the string and move guitar tricks to be perfectionised. i find it very easy to play.

...III neck combined with the ibanez floating tremelo system. together with the two perfectly placed pickups. the neck - thin fast and so easy to glide it actually takes getting used to the body - nice shape nice finish and does not restrict playing the 24 frets. the tremelo - the first floating tremelo system i have not actually had to retune every 10 minutes of playing.easy to lock if not wanted and easy to use whilst playing the pickups - a great ...
