Best tasting ice cream ever. Advantages: Working towards fairtrade. Disadvantages: It has a high price. ...you need to know about; BEN AND JERRY'S- PHISH FOOD :) DESIGN&APPEARANCE; The design and appearance of the ben and jerry's tub is; funky, original and cool. The tub doesn't look overally large but does contain quite a bit of icecream. I would say roughly 3 large servings or 6 small servings or if you're very greedy like me- 1 serving for somebody who loves ice cream because sharing just isn't gonna happen :) Also the packaging is fairtrade and enviromently ... ...probably be about £1.50 or so but this is alot more expensive than quite a few ordinary ice creams. Depending on where you get it from it's; Asda; £3.99 Sainsbury's £3.99 Tesco's £3.99 But other places do it cheaper and others more expensive. FAIRTRADE; This products price may be more expensive than others but it is better quality of taste (in my opinion) and also works with fair trade units. These Magnums sure blew me away Advantages: Creamy, crunchy, sumptuous and soft. Disadvantages: Cold creamy inside forces you to eat chocolate first, leaving the cream to pour down your hand. Many peoples dilemma when choosing this product is the price. With prices usually ranging around £2 for three ice creams, this is pricey whatever the budget. Now firstly, anything with the word classic in it immediately doubles in price. But the Magnum not only has it written on its packaging, its etched into every element of the ingenious ice-cream's make-up. From its churned centre of cool cream to its brittle yet brilliant chocolate shell, that ... ...chocolate but allures you, with its brown chocolate body to just scythe through it to reveal the joys it hides inside. However, although the taste is moreish and the price makes you want to savour each bite, another thing stops you gorging it whole is the contrast in temperatures between exterior and interior. Although this may sound obvious, its warm chocolate exterior is contrasted with a severely chilly interior. Hagaan Dazs Dream - Pralines and Cream Advantages: Tastes Amazing (diets beware)! Disadvantages: Pricey - but worth it! I usually always opt for low fat ice cream products...with one exception............. When it comes to decadence in a tub - Hagaan Daazs wins hands down. The premise of Hagaan Dazs is that they only use the best quality ingredients in their products and it shows! This time I'm reviewing Pralines and Cream but every other flavour lives up to the same high standard (Strawberry Shortcake is perfect for Summer). Onto the Product **************** ... ...cream with generous swirls of not too runny caramel sauce. It's also laced with caramelised whole pecan nuts (yummy). You know what they say…the best ideas are the simplest ones…… and they were right! The thick ice cream is incredibly creamy and you can tell that vanilla pods (as opposed to synthetic flavour) have been used in the product. Haagen Daz's Cookie Dough Ice Cream Advantages: Delightful and tasy Disadvantages: Expensive and fattening I've always been a Ben & Jerry's fan, but the absence of Cookie Dough ice cream at my local ASDA store lead me to buy a tub of my favourite flavour from it's rival - Haagen Dazs. I'll admit, I wasn't too happy with the decision, but I honestly can't be bothered to go to a different store just for a tub of ice cream. Anyway, I turned to my freezer earlier today and took out the tub of Haagen Dazs Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream and decided ... ...I ended up eating half the tub. Infact, that's a lie. I ended up eating the entire tub. Shameful. 500ML of ice cream now resides in my stomach. But what can I say? Put aside I've gained 100g of fat and taken in 1500 calories, it tasted great. The combination of luxurious, rich and creamy vanilla ice cream, and nuggets of intense chocolate with generous, buttery cookie dough is a wonderful blend. Low fat, low calorie, low guilt ice cream thats still a treat! Advantages: - Disadvantages: - As many of you know, I struggle with my weight, and I'm constantly trying to lose a little - this doesn't mean I want to be without my favourite treats though - and I still love an ice-cream now and then . The trouble is, ice creams are usually pretty fattening, and while fruit juice ice lollies are nice, they just aren't the same . So, whilst browsing through the supermarket freezer aisles, I came across Mini Milks - now, these were a childhood ... ...the freezer when I was younger (and in fact still get them in for my daughter). They were only 1.99 for 12, which was pretty good value - but the true joy was when I looked on the back and discovered that these are only 30 calories each with only 0.7g of fat! There are three flavours in the pack - vanilla,strawberry, and chocolate, and I couldn't wait to get stuck in , so I got home, and a few minutes later sat down to enjoy my first - a vanilla ...
