Only the Finest will do
Advantages: Nice authentic flavour, creamy texture, moreish Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...browsing the ice creams in Tesco the other day, I came across their own Finest brand of coffee ice cream. It wasn't easy to spot as it was hidden behind a tub of Ben & Jerry's or Haagen Dazs (I can't remember which). However, I was mainly attracted by the fact that it was 'coffee ice cream'. Although that might not sound particularly unusual in itself, it got me thinking about the different flavours of ice cream that you find in supermarkets nowadays. ... ...well, you have to admire Tesco for wanting to keep the product as fresh as possible, don't you…? Anyway, peeling back the plastic film reveals a light brown coloured dairy ice cream, with tiny black specks of what I presume are finely ground Columbian beans. It looks quite soft and creamy in texture, and has a slight coffee aroma - nothing too defined but just a vague nuance.
So now for the most important bit: the taste…Plunging my spoon into the ...

A Healthy Cheesecake? Suuuuurely not.
Advantages: Lower in fat/cals than other cheesecakes, good price, lovely flavour & textures Disadvantages: Slightly soppy orange segments that can cause the rest of the cake to moisten when left
...spotted a gem in the Tesco freezer section...a low fat one! Well, they do just about low-fat everything these days so I gave it a go because it was a bargain, and I wasn't disappointed! ... The Product... For £1 you get a 550g Tesco Light Choices Mandarin Cheesecake, which, compared with the other options, is a steal. Depending on how big a serving you want, this can easily allow 6 people a slice of yumminess. Each 1/6 contains only 170 calories ... ...to a very similar product? Tesco light & creamy mandarin cheesecake (£3.29) is over 3x the price, and contains 245 calories and 13.3g of fat. I know which one I'd choose... There are also no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives which is always a good thing because you know you're not putting 'fake' food into your mouth. It's also suitable for vegetarians & is nut-free, but does contain milk, wheat & gluten incase you have any allergens/intolerances. ...

TESCO VALUE FRUIT FLAVOUR ICE LOLLIES .. good value??
Advantages: COST NEXT TO NO MONEY for 10 WHOLE LOLLIES! Disadvantages: some people just don't like value products - that could be their disadvantage though.
...couple of boxes of Tesco 's own brand Tesco VALUE 10 assorted fruit flavour lollies . Now based on the other reviews I have read on this product,(granted they were written a couple or so years ago) ,I noticed how some people tend to look down on Tesco's VALUE products regardless of whether they have tried it or not , Personally I myself judge a product on whether or not I like it ,not on how much it cost or what the box looks like ...anyway ..short ... ...at last .
TESCO VALUE 10 ASSORTED FRUIT FLAVOUR LOLLIES
price 42 p !!!!!!!!!! At that price it is so easy to fill your freezer up ! But I guess its best to make sure that you like the product before you do that .
The lollies come in an assortment of 3 flavours -in my experience you get 2 strawberry ,4 orange and 4 lemon (though occasionally you will get 3! strawberry and one less of the other flavours) ...seeing as the Red strawberry ones are ...

Tesco Triple Chocolate Gateau
Advantages: yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Disadvantages: fattening, hard to find in small size
Firstly let me say one word:
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ok, and that sums this up!
Triple chocolate is never a bad thing. Of course its a gateau so already you think artificial tasting but this actually isnt that bad.
The chocolate in the middle is thick icing sugar style filling, very creamy and very chocolatey, if you like dark chocolate youll love this.
The cake itself is a chocolate ... ...of it. Taste wise its like a plain sponge, though it doesnt taste homemade it doesnt taste too much like a sponge you would use to do the bathing with either !
Next you have chocolate foamy icing around the edges and top. Its nice, but its like a melted down aero without the body to it. This is the most artificial chocolatey taste, and you can tell its never seen a cocoa bean.
Lastly, the topping has tons of sprinkles on. However, nowhere near ...

Caramella in my bell'a!
Advantages: gorgeous, nice and creamy, very cheap Disadvantages: high in calories and fat
...brand. I've recently tried the Tesco creamy caramella ice cream. I was a bit scared to try it however at the time I was on a weight gain diet, so I thought i'd give it a go!!
The ice cream can be found in the freezers alongside all of the other ice creams and specifically the Chocolatino ice cream in the same range. The ice cream comes in a one litre tub which is exceptionally good for an ice cream carton. For this litre, it will cost you only £2. ... ...you are charged almost £4 for a 500ml tub of Ben and Jerry's. there are also sometimes offers on with this product but not currently. I find that the tub is really attractive and is actually more appealing than branded version such as Haagen Dazs. It is oval in shape, and it is longer than it is wide. Its made out of a thick plastic and so the gorgeous ice cream can be clearly seen through the tub. There is a sticky label on both sides of the tub ...
