These Magnums sure blew me away Advantages: Creamy, crunchy, sumptuous and soft. Disadvantages: Cold creamy inside forces you to eat chocolate first, leaving the cream to pour down your hand. Many peoples dilemma when choosing this product is the price. With prices usually ranging around £2 for three ice creams, this is pricey whatever the budget. Now firstly, anything with the word classic in it immediately doubles in price. But the Magnum not only has it written on its packaging, its etched into every element of the ingenious ice-cream's make-up. From its churned centre of cool cream to its brittle yet brilliant chocolate shell, that ... ...chocolate but allures you, with its brown chocolate body to just scythe through it to reveal the joys it hides inside. However, although the taste is moreish and the price makes you want to savour each bite, another thing stops you gorging it whole is the contrast in temperatures between exterior and interior. Low fat, low calorie, low guilt ice cream thats still a treat! Advantages: - Disadvantages: - As many of you know, I struggle with my weight, and I'm constantly trying to lose a little - this doesn't mean I want to be without my favourite treats though - and I still love an ice-cream now and then . The trouble is, ice creams are usually pretty fattening, and while fruit juice ice lollies are nice, they just aren't the same . So, whilst browsing through the supermarket freezer aisles, I came across Mini Milks - now, these were a childhood ... ...the freezer when I was younger (and in fact still get them in for my daughter). They were only 1.99 for 12, which was pretty good value - but the true joy was when I looked on the back and discovered that these are only 30 calories each with only 0.7g of fat! There are three flavours in the pack - vanilla,strawberry, and chocolate, and I couldn't wait to get stuck in , so I got home, and a few minutes later sat down to enjoy my first - a vanilla ... I wanna suck on your lolly pop! Advantages: It`s ice cream and ice lolly together!! Disadvantages: Addictive! I am never sure on a sunny day relaxing in the sun whether I want ice cream or a fruity ice lolly, thankfully with Wall`s twister`s I can have both. The twister is an ice lolly with delicious Wall`s ice cream spiralled round the outside of it. The red coloured centre of the lolly is strawberry ice this has a lemon and lime flavoured ice strip spiralled round it along with a pineapple flavour Wall`s ice cream strip making for a delicious fruity ice ... ...back in 1982 and has been a favourite with many ever since me included. I used to be a huge fan of the wall`s Callippo but as I say I can never choose between ice lollies and ice cream so the Twister gives me everything a Callippo could but with the addition of delicious ice cream. A twister can be easily spotted in the freezer of your local store with its bright yellow packaging and the word Twister written in large bright white lettering. Sweet Sophistication Advantages: creamy, rich chocolate Disadvantages: cost at times In the summer months when the temperatures start to rise, it’s always nice to reach for ice cream and have something refreshing to help cool me down. I would say my favourite ice cream brand was Ben & Jerry’s but on the hot days it’s the last thing I want to reach for. I do like a fruity ice lolly like a Solero but lately I have been buying multipacks of Magnum more as they have been on offer. I always have loved them but they cost a lot at about ... ...in the freezer that way and the range is broadening all of the time which is always interesting. I like how they have mini ranges also which make them smaller and appetising for a smaller chill. My favourite Magnum apart from Almond is the White as it is unusual but it is creamy and refreshing. Walls ice reams like Magnum are under the wide Unilever group. Indulgence that's Good for You?? Advantages: Cheap, tasty and relatively healthy pleasure Disadvantages: Only 3 per box! We have just cheated and each enjoyed one of these as the sweet after our evening meal. I say cheated since my brother is mildly diabetic so he has to watch carefully what he eats and this is a 'pud' he can enjoy like the rest of us. At only 99 calories per stickful the Solero is a tasty treat. Our favourite is the exotic version which tastes of passion fruit and vanilla. Despite the sugar substitute (and hence the low calorie rating) there is no ... ...not a dose of purgatory. The packaging is eye-catching, some would say garish, but you should not miss these on the supermarket shelves. I say supermarket shelves since you can usually buy three in a cardboard box for the price you would pay for one in a convenience store, garage or traditional 'sweetie' shop. Refreshing and flavoursome these do make a cheaters dessert and apparently they are not too bad for you either!
