COME CHURN WITH ME

Advantages: Churns and Freezes in one
Disadvantages: Bowl has to be frozen for 24 hours before use

...ownership of a brand new Kenwood IM250 Ice Cream Maker…….and wow….after about two months of use…..I am so impressed!!! I wish I had bought one of these years ago. = This ice cream maker has a bowl which has to be frozen for 24 hours before use….but hey…no problem, I store my bowl in the freezer. Before I started to keep the bowl permanently in the freezer I did check with Kenwood's customer care team that this would be ok ...
...ice cream mix, assemble the Kenwood ice cream maker, switch it on so that the paddle is turning, pour in the ice cream mixture and wait…..the instructions say that it can take anything from 15 - 30 minutes, I've found that to be able to use the ice cream straight away, it does take 30 minutes. Plenty of time to put the feet up and have a cup of coffee or tea. = I've not found any ice particles in the ice cream made with ...

Ice cream for dessert?

Advantages: fresh, and you know what you are eating
Disadvantages: messy, fiddly

My first piece of advice when buying this ice-cream machine is to get the big size and not the smaller size.....most recipes cater for the larger size and it can be fiddly/messy either halving recipes, or having 2 churning sessions......as you have to make sure the bowl is clean after the first churn sesison, as if ice cream is stuck round the edges, the paddle won't turn. The machine itself looks a little flimsy and can be a little fiddly to fit ...
...it can catch on the top spout making the process messy. The ice cream when made is very soft and can be eaten immediately, however it is preferable to store in the freezer for an hour or 2 before eating. The ice cream can be stored for many weeks in the freezer and when left a long time becomes rock hard....so you have to defrost slightly before serving! Also when the ice cream is made it is quite difficult to scrape it all off the paddle and also ...

DIY Ice Cream!

Advantages: Simple set up, simple to use, inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Time consuming to prepare bowl&ingredients.Maximum of 2batches at a time

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why an Ice Cream Maker? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well I'm with a website where you earn points and these points can be exchanged for free gifts. So after not much deliberation I decided to get an ice cream maker. I chose this particular model as it was the one that I could afford with my points! The advantages of having an ice cream maker are pretty clear when you look at the price of my favourite Ben and Jerry's Ice creams. ...
...going into my ice cream. There are only natural fruits and none of the nasty E numbers that we all dread to see on the ingredients lists of our foods. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Price and availabilty ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's not a very expensive peice of kit to be honest and it is readily available both online and in store. They sell this for £14.99 from amazon.co.uk and my friend got her's from Currys for £19.99. It's great value for money but you can ...
Service and repair
Advantages: Makes great home made traditional ice cream.
Disadvantages: Noisy, so make it in the garage.
They make excellent ice cream and it is the traditional home made kind where you know what ingredients are being used and not lots of strange sounding chemicals. Much better than even the best luxury ice creams being marketed by the big supermarkets. They are very noisy though and the lid has a tendency to come off during the process. The solution is to make your ice cream in the garage and place a 14lb weight on the lid to stop it coming off! ...
The best ice cream maker
Advantages: Easy to clean and maintain. Automatic. Big capacity.
Disadvantages: Noisy
This professional ice cream maker is excellent for making great quality ice cream, sorbets and ice cream yoghurt. It comes with a good selection of ice cream and sorbets recipes for everyone's taste. It's easy to clean and maintain. No need to pre-freeze the bowl. Everything is automatic. You only need to add the ingredients to the bowl and let the ice cream maker do the rest. And here you are left with time to do other things in the kitchen or around ...
