Advantages: Lots of character, Roman monuments, history Disadvantages: It's a long way away
...So there we are, driving south on the motorway, heading for ARLES in Provence. The weather is not too great, it's overcast and everything is dull and grey. It's a long drive and it's not made any easier by my fellow road users. Is there some sort of French custom that I'm not aware of? Is it a requirement of passing a driving test in France that you have to be able to stray over the lines at frighteningly regular intervals, usually when some good natured, happy-go-lucky proxam-like character is overtaking them. SACRE BLEU! It's not all that difficult to steer a car between two white lines along a wide and straight road.
Anyway....we survived (obviously or who would have written about it - a ghost writer?).
About an hour from Arles the skies cleared, the sun broke through and it warmed up markedly.
"There you go Mrs P" says I...

Advantages: Cheap, loads of kit, sporty look Disadvantages: not as refined as some....its a real drivers car
...I currently own a Peugeot 206 1.4 (02), its a nice car but I have become board with it, its fairly slow and the driving position is a tad uncomfortable at the best of times.
I have only just graduated so I'm as broke as hell so I was looking for a car that was cheap, fast and sexy.
Had a look at the Fiesta Zetec S, but found it a bit common for my liking, also considered the C2 VTS which was way to expensive, and the Toyota Yaris T-Sport, which was not only too expensive but boring to look at as well.
My friend pointed me in the direction of the new Ignis Sport....had a look on the internet and it gave me a guide price of about 10k, not bad I thought. It was listed as having electrice windows and mirrors, remote locking, ABS with electronic brake distribution, driver and passenger airbags and Recaro front seats, and a CD...

Advantages: Value for money. Size Disadvantages: Boring. Looks
...The Suzuki Ignis is a reliable car which will take you from A to B with no fuss or hassle. Had the car for two and a half years and was highly reliable throughout this time. As regards its looks this car externally is not going to be a great head turner or get you noticed in the streets with its boring run of the mill shape and available colour schemes. Internally it is no different as Suzuki have stuck with what is quite a boring and unimaginative grey colour but all the controls are easy at hand and it is a highly easy car to use. A car which will be sturdy and give you great reliability, recommended especially for a family looking for a car to do the schoolrun which with a large boot space could also be used for day trips or family holidays but may not have the street cred for what a new young driver would be looking for....
