I bought this for two reasons, one to replace my existing 15" Proview monito and the second to run my Xbox 360 on in High Definition.
The high contrast ration and the 5ms Black to Black refresh (2ms grey to grey) looked like it would ideally suit high definition gaming, especially with the native resolution being 1680 x 1050 so almost 1080p resolution.I was a little dissapointed at first, when I realised that turning my Xbox into 1080 mode produced a higher refresh rate than the monitor could handle. However, turning this down to 720i mode still looks 100 times better than it does on a standard TV. The widescreen display is brilliant, the colours clear and crisp and the refresh rate suits the games perfectly.
I have noticed that you do occasionally get some 'ghosting' but this tends to happen on older, less advanced games such as the Xbox Live Arcade games. Playing games like Bioshock through this makes it look almost real.So if you want a way to run high definition games or movies through a good sized screen without spending a fortune, this is perfect.
If you just want to use your pc for browsing the internet and sending emails etc, it could well be a little on the big size.
