This is the older version of Iiyama's Pro Lite series, with a 16ms response time. I bought mine about a year ago, and it has been excellent in all respects except gaming. With a slow response time of 16 ms, I have experienced much "ghosting" (Slow update of the picture) in all my game. This may not be notable to all people however, as different people have different sensitivity to this kind of thing. I've used this monitor for 6 months having bought one on the back of an excellent review in PC Pro. I have not been disappointed. The colours are excellent, the brightness good and the speed of response likewise. Whether the monitor is used for simple spreadsheet work, or watching DVDs, there is no blurring and text is well-defined. Like any TFT screen the 431S must be used at its native resolution of 1280x1024. The Iiyama is the best TFT you can get on the market. I have one of these and for gaming, and they are excellent. Since having this TFT, I have noticed that the games that I play are a lot better (play wise and graphical wise). This is due to the 16 ms refresh rate. I have seen others at 23ms, but if you’re a gamer, you want the 16ms. PC Pro A-List, sold out in most of the shops last year. This is the must have montior from arguably the best monitor manafacturer Iiyama. Iiyama have been the best in the businees for monitors for while now and with this monitor no one can dispute that. I switched to this from a 19inch Iiyama flat screen CRT (was best 19" CRT on market) I have not been disapointed. Those of you considering switching from a CRT this is the right one to go for.
