The Iiyama range of flat panel displays has been created to maximize space in the computing environment. Using less than half the space and power requirements of a CRT, they dramatically reduce energy costs and contribute towards a cooler working environment. The flickerfree nature of LCD technology promotes increased productivity by reducing eyestrain and increasing user comfort. ProLite H540S-B is a 21.3" TFT LCD with a native resolution of 1600x1200 for the professional CAD/DTP or corporate user. This model's superior features include a stunning design, dual DVI-I inputs and optional S-Video with Picture in Picture functionality. The ability to "flip" the image is a practical feature to bring flair and ease to mounting solutions.

Over a decade ago I was a poor student shopping for my first ever PC. I knew what I wanted - a 486 processor running at 25MHz, 8Mb RAM, 200Mb harddrive and most importantly an Iiyama 14" monitor.
Sadly the wages department of the hotel restaurant I worked through that long and tedious summer dictated a few small changes. The PC eventually became a 386 processor running at 40MHz, 4Mb RAM, 120Mb harddrive and no Iiyama monitor. Instead of the Iiyama I had some rebadged monitor with a huge curve and a low refresh rate. The Iiyama was the first thing to drop off the list as it saved the most money.

IIyama is definitely one of most recognized and respected both CRT and LCD manufacturer,( for Windows and Macintosh)
and that places it above other producers on market because of it's expirience,
and japanese origin. Sometimes people say that company that is focused on one specific item makes better
stuff and if it comes about IIyama i can fully agree.
External look
IIyama vision master pro 1413 17" is simple monitor without addons like speakers or tv tuner and is
available in cream (white) color ( some other models comes in black or silver ).
Unusual design creates a picture of massive and solid construction and reminds me an oval cut in half.
Monitor is put together very well, all joints fits perfectly. Even being a low budget product still

So, to sum up: this is a great monitor but it goes back quite a way. If you have the room then the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513 could be a good choice. If space is a priority then LCDs are improving all the time....
