Advantages: Exceptional pricing for a great fst screen Disadvantages: Picture position can vary on warming up

I've reported this to iiyama and it might just be my video card, but I have heard of other people reporting it too. When you switch these screens on, or when they come out of standby, the picture can be offset about 5mm to the right, and/or 5mm down. As the screen 'warms up' this corrects itself back to the position you've set using the controls. Not a huge problem but sometimes slightly annoying. I use 2 of these screens daily in a triple head setup (455, 454, 455). They are exceptional value for money and at the time I couldn't quite afford to buy 3 VM PRO 454s. Personally I think they look best at 1280 x 1024. You certainly wouldn't want to go above that on these screens. They're not quite as sharp as a 454, and the brightness is notably less than on a 454.
Annoyances: OPQ has only 2 settings on the 455 - on or off. When you switch it on it looks great when you have something white open, but once you start moving windows, etc, it can appear too blurred. The 454 on the other hand has 3 settings - text, picture and video (if I remember correctly).
Warming up: I've reported this to iiyama and it might just be my video card, but I have heard of other people reporting it too. When you switch these screens on, or when they come out of standby, the picture can be offset about 5mm to the right, and/or 5mm down. As the screen 'warms up' this corrects itself back to the position you've set using the controls. Not a huge problem but sometimes slightly annoying. The VM454 is much better and does not seem to suffer from this problem.
All in all, a great monitor for the price, but if you can afford it I'd definately recommend you go for the 454 instead.
One thing to remember - Iiyama offers one of the best warranties on the market - usually next day swap out.
