*My intro*:

My daughter seems to have so much toys and despite having a large storage unit in her bedroom, there was a very untidy selection appearing in the dining room. I decided to invest in another storage box so I went to Ikea to see what they had got.

*Assembly*:

As with the majority of Ikea products, this comes flat packed, the instructions were very basic yet easy to follow and assembly only took about 20 minutes. No additional tools were needed as the only think I needed was a special shaped allen key which was included.

*The Product:*

The box is very simple in design, has pine trimmings and painted white fibreboard panels. The lid come completely off so I didn’t have to worry about it falling down or Lauren trapping her finders in any of the hinges.

The assembled dimensions are: W 70 x D 39 x H 29 cm

*Price and Availability:*

The box cost £10.99 and is available in most stores, you can check the stock at your local store if you visit Ikea’s website.

*My thoughts*:

I really like this product, despite its price, it does feel very well made, the fibreboard panels aren’t too flimsy (which I sometimes find with fibreboard).

The simple colour scheme and design means it blends in nicely into my house, it is currently in my dining room yet I feel I could put this in most rooms.

One of the biggest selling points for me was that the lid comes completely off, when Lauren was younger, we had a similar product and removed the hinges as I was always scared of her trapping her fingers or the lid falling down on top of her.

Having just researched online, this storage box seems to be about £10 cheaper than other similar models on the market.

The product isn’t too big, yet big enough for me to keep loads of toys in.

Although we have only had this a few weeks, it has already managed to get a few marks on (dirty finger prints, crayons etc), the fibreboard has a laminated white paint on which means it was really easy to wipe clean with a bit of flash.

I would recommend this product and another 5 out of 5 stars for Ikea!
